The Avalon's Cat Burglar side quest will become available after conquering North Varennes by defeating Kzinssie.
North Varennes Story Walkthrough
You'll be able to unlock the Vagabond Character Class after conquering South Varennes if the Avalon's Cat Burglar is cleared.
If a Vagabond becomes emperor, The Free for All 2 formation will become available after talking to the soldier in the Battle Formation Training Camp in Avalon.

| 1 |  Talk to the old man inside the tavern, located just beside the stairway from the castle gate. |
| 2 |  Talk to the NPC located south of the tavern to gather more information about the thief. |
| 3 |  Sleep in your bed inside the castle and wait until nighttime. |
| 4 |  At night, exit the castle and talk to the NPC along the stairway in front of the castle gate. |
| 5 |  Enter the Equipment Shop at the southern part of Avalon. Crawl through the fireplace and up the ladder. This will take you to the rooftops. Keep following the quest marker until you reach a room. |
| 6 |  Approach the thief to ensue a cutscene. Chase the thief outside until you find her ambushed by monsters. |
| 7 |  During the cutscene, choose to help the thief to proceed with the side quest. This will cause you to trigger a battle against two Vultures. Choosing Haha, serves her right! will end the quest. |
| 8 |  After the battle, you'll wake up in your bed. Go to the tavern and talk to the bartender. Choose How fares the kitten? gather information about this particular kitten. |
| 9 |  Go to the cemetery behind the tavern and talk to the graveyard keeper. Choose I'm here about a kitten. to open up a new path towards the Thieves' Guild. |
| 10 |  Proceed inside the hideout to trigger a conversation with Sparrow, a member of the Thieves' Guild. Choose I need your help to infiltrate the Canal Fortress., then choose I'm happy to help when asked to defeat the fiend in the sewers. |
| 11 |  Exit the door in the guild to enter the Avalon Sewers. Navigate through the sewers until you reach the orange quest marker, defeating enemies along the way. |
| 12 |  You'll eventually fight the Deep One, which progresses the quest once defeated. The Deep One's weaknesses are Swords, Greatswords, Spears, Fire, and Wind. |
| 13 |  After fighting the Deep One, fast travel to Avalon and enter the Thieves' Guild to report your success against the Deep One. |
