| 1 | Organize your party if you're starting a new generation. |
| 2 |  Yauda can be annexed by defeating Wagnas, one of the seven heroes. Equip magic and fire-resistant gear. The Fire Wall fusion spell is also effective against Wagnas' attacks. Lastly, Life Water III is also an amazing spell as it can remove the fire element of the battlefield. ▶ All Seven Heroes Locations and How to Defeat Them |
| * | The Fire Wall can be learned by spell synthesizing the Book of Fire and Earth I which can be obtained on the central area of The Steppe. |
| 3 |  Head to Teretuva and talk to the sailor to travel to Yuyan. |
| 4 |  Talk to the residents of Yuyan to unlock Liangshan. Head there once the location becomes available. |
| 5 |  Talk to the residents of Liangshan then enter the Sekishusai mansion. |
| 6 |  Head to Chonto Castle after unlocking it. |
| 7 | Enter the castle then head to the king's room and choose “I don't need to put up with this” to storm out of the palace. |
| 8 | Return to Liangshan and enter Sekishusai's room. Talk to Sekishusai and say “These orders spell the end for Yauda” then “Life comes with vicissitudes. Serve me instead”. |
| 9 | Before invading the castle, head to the northern side of Yuyan to initiate the Ninja of Yuyan quest. ▶The Ninja of Yuyan Quest Walkthrough |
| 10 | Head to Chonto Castle and head to the fourth floor. |
| * |  Be sure to grab the Book of Dark and Wind II on the first floor of the castle. |
| 11 |  When inside the castle, be sure to also progress the Yuyan Ninja's event by activating the switch on the room up north. |
| 12 |  Prepare for a fight against 2 Battle Ogres Weaknesses: Shortsword, Spear, Water, Wind |
| 13 |  After defeating the Battle Ogres, choose “What do you have to say for yourself?”. After this, the Ninja will be recruitable as a part of your Retinue. |
| 14 |  Head to the 4th floor then save to start your fight against the Great One. Weakness: Great Sword, Shortsword, Axe, Light. |
| 15 |  Head to the throne room and fight with Sekishusai. Losing won't make your character die and still progress the event. Weakness: Swords, Axes, Shortswords. You can also get countered when using melee attacks. |
| 16 |  During the conversation with king Ato, choose to spare him. |
| 17 | After the scene, Jubei will appear. Any dialogue option will result in you being able to recruit the Levante guard to your retinue. ▶How to Unlock Levante Guard Class |
Hakuro Castle Walkthrough

| 1 |  Let's create a party with characters that can effectively glimmer the Dark Blade as we'll be going to an area where you can glimmer this tech much more easily. |
| 2 |  Head to Liangshan. |
| 3 |  Talk to the residents of Liangshan to unlock Hakuro Castle as a destination. |
| 4 | Enter Hakuro Castle and aim to reach the bottom-most part area. |
| * |  From the entrance just continue going forward. |
| 5 |  Head left and climb the stairs from the entrance. |
| 6 |  Climb the stairs and enter the door immediately. |
| 7 |  Head north. |
| 8 |  Head right, you can also take a short detour and head upward to get the Book of Light and Fire III. |
| 9 |  Head south and follow the linear path. You can also take a short detour on the right side of the map to fight a mimic and get a Bejeweled Ring that increases item drop rate when equipped. |
| 10 |  Proceed to the room and then choose the dialogue option “Are you Wagnas?” to initiate combat against Black Legion. Black Legion Weakness: Shortsword, Unarmed, Wind. Mystic Weaknesses: Shortsword, Axe, Water, Light. |
| 11 |  Use characters that can also glimmer the Dark Blade as the Black Legion will be using this move and can cause your characters to glimmer the skill much easier as well. |
Floating Castle Walkthrough

| 1 |  Head to Yuyan then talk to this lady. |
| 2 |  Return to the world map then head to Liangshan and talk to this man on the bridge. |
| 3 |  Return to Somon and talk to Hiraga. Choose to try the machine. If your emperor has more than 16 strength, you'll be able to use the vehicle to fly to the Floating Castle. If your emperor's strength is lower than 16, you can equip gear that can increase your strength stat. |
| * |  If you cannot use the machine, you can also get to the Floating Castle by recruiting the Iris. To do this, you need to complete the Iris and the Minstrel side quest. ▶The Iris and the Minstrel Quest Walkthrough |
| * | Before proceeding, be sure to prepare against Wagnas. He has strong magic attacks and fire attacks but lacks physical damage so equip gear that has high magic defense stats rather than physical. Fire Wall can negate most of his fire damage and Life Water III is a strong healing water spell that can reduce the battlefield's fire element and negate Wagnas' healing. |
| 4 | When you're ready to enter the floating castle, go to Iris village and talk to Iris to enter the castle. However, be careful as you won't be able to return until you defeat Wagnas. |
| * | If Wagnas is the 5th hero you have slain, you'll be forced to switch to the Final Emperor and you won't be able to change your emperor any longer. |
| 5 | Follow the castle's path and aim to head to the throne room on the 4th floor. |
| 6 |  After reaching the floating castle, enter the entrance to the left side. |
| 7 |  Head to the front stairs. |
| 8 |  Continue heading north. |
| 9 |  Continue heading north-east but also take a short detour to open the chest on the open room to the left after making your 2nd left turn to fight a Mimic and get the Vorpal Sword. |
| 10 |  Head south, you can also take a short detour up north to open a chest with 3 gold ores. |
| 11 |  There are three valuable chests in the area, the Book of Water and Wind II that allows you to learn Call Lightning, a Vorpal Axe that is guarded by a mimic chest, and a Barrier stone that can replenish your whole party's HP and MP outside of combat. |
| 12 |  Head upward but you can also head south to find a chest with 260,000 crowns. |
| 13 |  Head right after the ladder. |
| 14 |  This is the last room, going further will bring you into a fight against Wagnas. You can once again, take a short detour to the right and find a chest containing 320,000 crowns before attempting the fight against one of the seven heroes. |
| 15 | If you choose I'm on my way out, you'll be escorted out of the castle but won't be able to return to the castle again without Iris' help. |
| 16 |  Choosing I've enjoyed the hospitality enough will start a fight against Wagnas. Weaknesses: Great Sword, Axe, Spear, Bow, Water, Umbral Resists: Fire, Light |
| 17 |  Defeating Wagnas will allow the empire to conquer and include Yauda as one of its occupied regions. |
| 18 | If you have defeated five of the seven heroes, you'll be able to initiate the Final Emperor's stage. |
