Paying for the Past

Hunt Rewards

Rewards	3,200 Gil, Volcano, Arctic Wind

Hunt Objective

No.	Objective
1	The mark is petitioned by the Garif yet again. A familiar face, the warchief, is the petitioner.
2	Visit him in the Garif village. He will point you towards the Zertinan Caverns.
3	Proceed to the Caverns. He will also be there, and he will petition you to 'witness' his battle prowess.
4	Move into the Hourglass Basin area, into a sector not marked on the map.
5	The Catoblepas will appear. Join the warchief in his battle.
6	Return to the village and meet up with the warchief. He will reveal his reason for battling the mark. He will also give you your reward items.

The Warchief That Keeps On Fighting

This mission is one of the many that the garif will give you to prove yourself. This time, however, the warchief will go with you on the battle, but you're supposed to only be a 'witness' as he does battle.

A Sentimental Mark

The Catoblepas is a unique behemoth and is a mark that is felled easily or not, depending on your items. It will also be revealed that the warchief has a reason for hunting the mark--one that is connected to his older brother, who cannot fight anymore. Returning Triumphant

Once again, after having felled the beast, return to the Jahara Village of the Garif. The Warchief will give you your rewards as well as gratitude for helping finish off the mark.
