Due to its versatility and overall usefulness, we recommend investing points into this skill as soon as possible. This skill will greatly help you throughout your quest, and is useful in many builds, so be sure to learn/level this skill. If you have extra points and do not know where to invest them, this is a solid option.
In the early stages of the game some prolonged fights become more difficult because you lack dealing damage. This skill will help you a lot by making your damage scale with the duration of the fight.
If you are able to play cleanly and gain more adrenaline points, you will notice the difference in the damage you deal to the enemies you are fighting.
If you want to maximize the damage you can deal, then investing in this skill is worth it. Gaining more damage as the fight takes longer can be extremely useful in combat especially in higher difficulties where the enemies have higher HP.

He did his research, the website author.. who is presumably you clearly did not. Adrenaline already increases weapon damage, with or without this skill. Now I don’t think anybody is going to argue that a lot of item descriptions are misleading in this game.. however if you are going to run a website in regards to giving advice about skills, perks, and builds, that at the very least you should know what you are talking about.
Is Focus Worth It?

Actually, there is no description misleading, but if you know what skills Geralt has. Battle Trance is a skill that allows to generate adrenaline points when Geralt hits an enemy with a sword and increases weapon damage by 10% per adrenaline point. This is a base skill, that Geralt has by default. So Focus skill does not increase weapon damage, but allows to increase sign damage in addition to the base adrenaline mechanics.
