Tzaangor Enemy Information

Characteristics

The Tzaangor is a Minoris threat enemy that serves as the main fighting force for Chaos in the Campaign and Operations game modes. Though not the toughest enemies, Tzaangors can take a couple of shots from non high-powered weapons before going down.

Variations

###Shielded Tzaangor
These Tzaangors have extra defense. Their shields reduce the effectiveness of ranged attacks and require heavy melee attacks to break.

Attacks and Abilities

Tzaangors operate very much like how Hormagaunts do and just begin hacking and slashing at you the moment they aggro onto you.

Standard Tzaangors have a parryable pounce, while Shielded Tzaangors can perform an unblockable slash.

How to Beat Tzaangor

Shoot and Smack

Tzaangors can become one of the most annoying enemies in the game if enough of them suround you.

Before engaging in melee, try and shoot down as many of them as you can to make it easier to pick them off individually.

Grenade Before Going In

If you feel that melee is imminent, lob a grenade before fist-fighting to give yourself a bit of an advantage.

Open With a Heavy Melee

Once Shielded Tzaangors enter melee fighting range, try to always go in with a heavy attack to break their guard.

Shielded Tzaangors, even ones at lower Threat levels can take a heavy melee attack or two before going down.

Alternatively, Standard Tzaangors often go down with just one heavy melee attack, so it still works out engaging them this way.
