Scarab Occult Terminators are Extremis threat Chaos enemies that you rarely encounter in both the Campaign and Operations.
To their namesake, Terminators are well-armored and heavily-armed. These walking tanks deploy mostly in squads of 2.
The Scarab Occult Terminator comes in 2 variations. The Standard version is range-focused and comes equipped with a Soulreaper mini-gun.
This second variant comes with a Power Sword and is a melee powerhouse.
The terminator will fire 3 salvoes of missiles that home-in on your location which can only be dodged. When not using the missiles, Standard Terminators will relentlessly attack you using its Soulreaper mini-gun.
Power Sword Terminators move unrealistically fast and might be a bit challenging in full melee.
Terminators do not stagger as easily, if at all, making them trully formidable foes.
The best way to kite and engage Standard Terminators is to use the terrain to your advantage. Hide behind cover to avoid its attacks and bob in and out to shoot at it.
The Plasma Incinerator, Heavy Plasma Incinerator, and Plasma Pistol do remarkably well in bypassing the tough armor of Terminators, and Chaos enemies in general. Use fully charged shots in your exchange.
The movements of the Power Sword variant of Scarab Occult Terminators can be tricky to read, especially the first time you fight one. The trick here is not to spam your parry, but to wait until the Terminator moves.
After successfully parrying a string of attacks, you will eventually open the Terminator up for a Gun-Strike.
