The Termagant is a ranged Minoris threat Tyranid and is almost as commonly encountered as the Hormagaunt in both the Campaign and Operations.

Termagants are also fragile, but do not take them too lightly as they often harass you in squads from range. Several Termagants led by Ranged Variants of the Tyrannid Warrior can be tricky to clear out.

Attacks and Abilities

Termagants will constantly attack you with their automatic bio guns. If frenzied, their fire rate becomes faster, along with dealing more dmage per shot.

How to Beat Termagant

Rush With Melee

They may be troublesome in groups from range, but get close enough and they barely pose a threat in melee.

Prioritize if There are Supports

While relatively easy to deal with on their own, a Neurothrope or Zoanthrope will enhance swarm enemies within range, causing them to frenzy.

In such a case, it would be better to prioritize taking out the Termagants first before proceeding to deal with these enemies.

Execute a Nearby Majoris Enemy

You can quickly clear a squad of these by doubling-down on eliminating a Tyranid Warrior and using the Synaptic Shock from an execution to cull the wave.
