Ravener Enemy Information

Characteristics

The Ravener is an Extremis threat Tyranid enemy that you will encounter in the Campaign and Operations. The Ravener is like a junior Lictor, popping in and out via burrowing to try and ambush you.

Attacks and Abilities

The Ravener's signature move is its Burrow Strike, which is unblockable and pins you down if you fail to dodge it. You will have to complete a quick-time response to break free.

The Ravener also uses a 3-hit combo when engaging in melee.

How to Beat Ravener

Bait It Out

If you suspect a Ravener to be around, do not be too haphazard. Be on the defensive and wait for its attack cues, which will usually come from below.

Ideally, you will want to aggro it away from a swarm so that you do not have to worry about having to deal with smaller enemies at the same time.

Stagger to Prevent Burrow

The Ravener enjoys hit-and-run attacks and is most vulnerable when above ground. Calculate your approach and time your heavy melee attacks and/or explosive Grenades to easily stagger and prevent it from burrowing.

If you successfully parry the 3rd hit of its 3-hit combo, you also open it up to a Gun-Strike.
