This is a list of all Positions in Madden NFL 25. Check out all Offense, Defense, and Special positions, as well as the role of each position in this guide.

| Center (C) |
・Begins the play by snapping the ball to the Quarterback ・Positioned at the middle of the offensive line and in front of the Quarterback |
| Fullback (FB) |
・Serves as an extra blocker for the Halfback ・Runs the ball on short yardage situations such as a first down or to score a Touchdown |
| Halfback (HB) |
・Extra blocker on running plays ・Catch passes from the Quarterback |
| Left Guard (LG) |
・Positioned to the left of the Center ・Creates running holes or lanes for the Running Back |
| Left Tackle (LT) |
・Positioned at the left side of the Offensive Guard ・Protects the Quarterback by tackling the opponent's pass rushers ・Tries to open lanes for Running Backs on rushing plays |
| Quarterback (QB) |
・Receives the Snap from the Center ・Pitches, hands the ball off, or runs the ball himself during run plays. ・Throws the ball during passing plays. |
| Right Guard (RG) |
・Positioned to the right of the Center ・Creates running holes or lanes for the Running Back |
| Right Tackle (RT) |
・Positioned at the right side of the Offensive Guard ・Protects the Quarterback by tackling the opponent's pass rushers ・Tries to open lanes for Running Backs on rushing plays |
| Tight End (TE) |
・Acts as either a Blocker or Receiver depending on situation ・Positioned at the end of the Offensive Line |
| Wide Receiver (WR) |
・Catch passes from the Quarterback ・During running plays, the WR blocks or runs a pass route to draw off the Defender ・Fastest players on the field |

| Cornerback (CB) |
・On pass plays, prevents Receivers from catching the ball ・On running plays, tackles the ballcarrier |
| Defensive Tackle (DT) |
・Tackles the Offensive Linemen to distrupt a play ・Positioned in the middle of the Defensive Line |
| Free Safety (FS) |
・Last line of defense; positioned slightly further from the scrimmage ・Faster than Strong Safety and provides help on deep passing plays |
| Left End (LE) |
・Positioned at the left end of the Defensive Line ・Runs past the offensive linemen to sack the Quarterback or tackle Running Backs |
| Left Outside Linebacker (LOLB) | ・Responsible for covering the opposing team's Tight End |
| Middle Linebacker (MLB) |
・Positioned at the middle of the Defensive Line ・Covering receivers ・Rushes to sack the Quarterback |
| Right End (RE) |
・Positioned at the right end of the Defensive Line ・Runs past the offensive linemen to sack the Quarterback or tackle Running Backs |
| Right Outside Linebacker (ROLB) | ・Contains the play on the side without the opposing team's Tight End |
| Strong Safety (SS) |
・Last line of defense; positioned closer to the scrimmage ・Larger than Free Safety and provides extra protection against run plays |
