Used to Put Pressure on the Quarterback

Madden NFL 25 - QB sack

Shedding a block is a great way to disrupt your opponent's offense as this can put pressure on their Quarterback to give up the ball or risk losing a down.

This forces the QB to make a choice between getting sacked or passing the ball earlier than anticipated and risk an interception.

Block Shedding Stats

Stat Description
Power Moves (PMV) Determines how effective a player uses his strength to get through defensive or offensive linemen.
Block Shedding (BSH) Determines how effective a player can free themselves from an offensive player's block.
Defense Finesse Moves (FMV) Determines how effective a player uses his speed and agility to get through offensive linemen.

While the Block Shedding (BSH) stat primarily dictates how effective a player can get free from a block, the Power Moves and Defense Finesse Moves stats can also help your character to maneuver around and against the offensive linemen blocking you.
