Make accurate passes by climbing the pocket and briefly standing still before throwing the ball towards an open receiver. Setting your feet helps a lot when it comes to making precision throws, and having a QB with the Set Feet Lead ability can greatly aid you in making good throws down the field.
Moving to the back or to the sides while passing will make it more difficult for you to make an accurate pass. Doing so will cause your passes to be easily interceptable by opposing players. This also leaves the ball in the air longer, making it difficult to do an aggressive push.
Juking is a great way to get past opposing defenders in Madden NFL 25. It is even better if you perform a juke while running diagonally and then promptly juke back in to leave a defender behind.
This is made easier by having the Juke Box ability, which gives you the ability to have steerable juke animations.
You can perform a truck in order to run down defending players. This mechanic is great when used by ball carriers who weigh more as it increases your chances of knocking down your opponents in a 1-on-1 situation.
Trucking goes great with the Freight Train or Wrecking Ball ability if you have no plans on dodging incoming defenders.
Sometimes it is better to throw the ball away out of bounds near a receiver when you are under pressure to avoid an intentional grounding penalty, this is also better than getting sacked and you get to fight through another down.
However, this needs to be done outside of the pocket, otherwise you will still get a penalty, which is the same as getting sacked.
Let your opponent pick an offensive play first. Knowing how many wide receivers or running backs you will encounter can help determine what play you choose while you are on defense. You can see the enemy team's info pop up on the upper right side of your screen whenever you are choosing a play.
