Why Should You Touchback?

Gain Better Field Position

A touchback is often regarded as a good strategy, as it sets up your team for a better position during the game. This can also provide an advantage to your offensive play, as well as help you gain yardage throughout the game.

Prevent an Advantage From the Opposing Team

Touchback can also prevent the opposing team from gaining the advantage, as it removes the possibility of being tackled by the opposing players if you're trying to gain yardage after catching the ball.
