Choose Roster File Setting Select Fantasy Draft in Starting Point Start Drafting Players

Choose Roster File Setting

Fantasy Draft will only be available if you choose the Roster File setting from the select Roster Type menu before beginning Franchise mode.

Select Fantasy Draft in Starting Point

Go to Starting Point and select Fantasy Draft to begin the league with a fantasy draft.

Start Drafting Players

Begin the Fantasy Draft from the menu and you will be taken to the NFL Draft Night. From here, you can start picking players that you want on your team.

When selecting players, take note of the Offensive and Defensive Needs panel on the left side to know which Positions your team needs to have.

Since all NFL players are included in the draft pool for Fantasy Draft, always select those with the highest OVR ratings in the first round. It does not matter what Positions you pick yet since your goal is to get as many skilled players as you can in the earlier rounds.

Draft Players with X-Factor Abilities

Players with X-Factor Abilities are another priority for you to draft into your team. X-Factor abilities are game-breaking abilities that can change the course of a game once a player activates them.

You can check if a player has an X-Factor Ability by viewing their Draft Card.

Draft Players Depending on Team's Playstyle

Another factor to think about is your preferred playstyle. If you want your team to specialize in Passing, Running, or Defense, then you should draft players with good Attributes in those areas.

Select Snake Setting for Draft Order

Selecting Snake Draft may give you more chances to pick the players that you want, since the pick order is reversed each round.

As an example, if you picked last during a round, you will be the first one to pick on the next. This allows you to strategically select two players that work well together.

To change draft order to Snake, open League Settings before starting the Franchise league, and then scroll down to Fantasy Draft Order to choose between Snake or Standard.

What is Fantasy Draft in Franchise Mode?

In Franchise mode, a Fantasy Draft is usually held before a league begins. This involves putting all NFL players in the draft pool so participants of the Franchise league would be able to select their preferred players on equal terms.

This ensures that all participants will be able to have a fair amount of strong and weak players on their franchise teams.
