Set Zone Drop - Flats to 25

Madden NFL 25 - How to Stop Corner Routes Set Zone Drop

It is recommended that you set your Zone Drop - Flats to 25, as this increases the likelihood of corner routes being intercepted by your Linebackers or Cornerbacks on the field. You can only access the option once you've assumed the defensive play in the game.

Once you've assumed the defensive position, select the Coach Suggestions tab from the menu and press the Coach Adjustments button on your keyboard/controller. From there, scroll down to the Zone Drop - Flats option and set it to 25.

Manually Position Linebackers to Field Zones

Platform Button
PC Press Mid-Mouse Button or F to switch players, then press R to intercept.
Xbox
Press XBOX - B Button to switch players, then press XBOX - Y Button to intercept.
PS
Press PS4 - Circle Button to switch players, then press PS4 - Triangle Button to intercept.

Manually control your Linebackers or Cornerbacks on the Field to intercept the ball from opposing receivers. This method requires real-time awareness of the game situation and pass trajectory made by the opposing Quarterback.

Defenders with this ability can make jumping; 180-degree interceptions while lurking in a zone in the middle of the field.

Defenders with this ability have higher chance to catch uncontested interceptions; and they have unlimited stamina on the return (until using a special move or breaking a tackle).

Shutdown defenders have the talent to erase receivers from the game. When they enter the zone; their coverage is tighter and interceptions are more frequent on contested catches.

Zone Hawk defenders lock down a part of the field. When they enter the zone; this ability increases the rate of interceptions while in zone coverage.

Tackle (TAK) Determines a player's success in tackling against another player.
Power Moves (PMV) Determines how effective a player uses his strength to get through defensive or offensive linemen.
Block Shedding (BSH) Determines how effective a player can free themselves from an offensive player's block.
Pursuit (PUR) Determines the effectiveness for defenders to chasedown the ballcarrier.
Play Recognition (PRC) Determines how well a defender can read the offensive team's play.
Man Coverage (MCV) Determines how effective a defender can stick to his assigned receiver to defend.
Zone Coverage (ZCV) Determines how effective a player will guard his area against receivers.
Hit Power (POW) Determines how powerful a player will be able to perform a hit-stick tackle to force fumbles.
Press (PRS) Determines the ability of a player to pressure and disrupt passes.
Defense Finesse Moves (FMV) Determines how effective a player uses his speed and agility to get through offensive linemen.
