Cutting Trees and Gathering Wood
As implied in the name, Woodcutters will be cutting down trees to gather wood. This will be heavily tied to the Carpenter Life since you can use the wood that you get to make things like tools, weapons, or even furniture.

Get the Sweet Spot Search ASAP
The Sweet Spot Skill is useful as it significantly increases your damage when you hit the Sweet Spot of the item you're trying to collect.
Charge Attack and Special Skill Panels Are Equally Useful
Both the Charge Attack and Special Skill allow you get stronger Pulls so try to get those first before anything.

Get the Woodcutting Stat and SP Bonus up First
Get the Mining Stat and SP Bonus as certain trees can deplete your SP quickly like boss trees. This can save you from the headache as you realize you don't have enough SP when you get to the end of the trees' HP Bar.

How to Get Excellent Hits
When you plan your strikes strategically and use a strong attack at the end, you will trigger Excellent Gathering, which gives you bonus materials afterwards.
Plan your chops properly to always hit Excellent Gathering to make your wood gathering more efficient!
How to Find Sweet Spot
With particularly harder trees, use your movement button to side step all around the tree to look for its Sweet Spot. You will know when you hit it when you see a purple bubble pop up when you hit it.
This is the tree's critical spot, where they will take the most damage. Use this to your advantage when taking down tougher trees earlier on.
Equip and Train Buddies for Help
You can bring Buddies with you and they will help you mine and decrease the ore's HP. Do keep in mind since they will decrease the HP Bar of the Ore, time your Charged Skills earlier than you would normally to get the Excellent.
