Prioritize one of the Combat Lives at the beginning, and then look into which Crafting Life and Gathering Life is required to create its armor and weapon. this will help you start out without overwhelming you with options.

|
High damage in exchange for defense. Makes use of the dodge mechanic to further boost its damage when the opponent attacks. Amazing AoE and Single Target Skills. |

Hunter

Focuses on playing from afar while your party attracts the enemies' attention. Slow growths in Physical damage at the start which it makes up for by imbuing your shots with Status Conditions. |

Paladin
|
All-rounder class that focuses on attacting enemies to you and tanking damage. Known for its safe but slow playstyle. |

Magician
|
Only Combat class that deals Magic damage. Great balance and utility with its Spells along with healing magic. |

Brand New
|
This life serves no purpose other than being your starting life. |
Out of all Combat Lives, the Mercenary has the best damage out of all of them. Despite this, the Magician, Paladin, and Hunter have their own strengths that make them stand out from each other, so choose the Combat Life that suits your taste.
Best Combat Life: Mercenary
Mercenary stands out as the top Combat Life because of its consistently high damage output and versatile skills. It excels in both single-target and area attacks, and its ability to increase damage through dodging makes it effective against stronger enemies.
If you’re looking for a straightforward, high-damage class, Mercenary is the most reliable choice.
Best Crafting and Gathering Lives Tier List

These jobs are more focused on the creative and life simulator aspect of the game. These lives lean more on getting ingredients for cooking and making cosmetic items. |
Out of all Crafting and Gathering Lives, choose the lives that will give the most benefit to the Combat Life you personally like. For Mercenary and Paladin, the Miner and Blacksmith Lives come to mind. Meanwhile for Hunter and Magician, it's the Tailor and Carpenter.

Best Gathering Lives: Miner and Woodcutter
Miner and Woodcutter lead the Gathering Lives because they supply essential materials used across multiple Crafting Lives. Miner gathers ores needed for forging weapons and armor, while Woodcutter collects lumber for making bows, staffs, and furniture.
Together, they’re the backbone of material farming, making them highly valuable picks early and late in the game.

Combat Utility
With how much you spend fighting in the game, investing in Jobs that make it easier will do you more good in the long run as you can just focus on what you specifically need at the end game.
Flexibility
Some Lives are clearly desgined to do a specific task. However, there are several Lives that can provide for a wider variety of uses. For Jobs that can easily be used on a wide range of situations, a higher tier was assessed.
