Fight Using Longswords and Shields
The Paladin Life revolves around using their Longswords and Shields to stay safe while dealing damage in combat. This Life is recommended for beginners since it provides a good balance between offense and defense.

Skill Upgrade Priority
| Lightning Strike > Charge Attack > Special Skill |
Prioritize Sonic Blade Until You Get Lightning Strike
Make sure to focus on Sonic Blade as this is your only significant source of damage until you get your Special Skill. Other good Skills to activate are ones that increase your SP and HP as you'll be mostly in the front.
Shift Focus to Lightning Strike Once Unlocked
Once you get Lightning Strike, you can slowly work your way to a more self sutaining build with Divine Shield. This build plays more into the strengths of the Paladin as you can detract enemies from your allies by being able to get near enemies getting their aggro.
Stat Upgrade Priority

SP Management is Key
Make sure you invest in the SP Panels at the bottom as the Paladin is pretty SP hungry. Especially the Divine Shield build since Lightning Strike's counter also costs SP.
Balance Your Offense and Defense
Due to the Paladin mostly playing in the front lines in Melee Range, make sure to also invest in your HP and Defense as much as you do in Attack and Crit. Remember that you're the tank, not the main damage dealer!

Master the Shield Guard
Paladins can equip shields and block incoming enemy attacks, reducing damage and avoiding status effects. Learning to guard effectively is key to survival in tougher battles.
Timing your guard well can trigger Counterattack opportunities once you unlock the Counterattack Signal skill node, letting you retaliate safely while enemies are recovering.
Play Aggressively with Fast Attacks
One of the Paladin’s strengths lies in their quick, low-commitment attacks with one-handed swords. These strikes are fast and leave very few openings, letting you safely weave attacks between enemy moves.
Use Sonic Blade early on to deal consistent damage from a safe distance and close gaps quickly, then transition into Lightning Strike and Divine Shield combos once unlocked.
Use Tension and Special Skills Effectively
Build up your Tension Gauge by attacking and blocking. Once it’s full, unleash your Special Skill for a high-damage burst or to turn the tide in tough fights.
