How to Get Buddy Requests
- Look for Buddies with Thought Bubbles
- Complete Personal Request to Get Another One
- Wait the Next Day
Look for Buddies with Thought Bubbles
Buddy Requests can only be obtained in the Base Camp. To get new Buddy Requests, simply find any islander with a thought bubble above their head. Talk to them to learn more about their request.
You can only get requests at the Base Camp, and no buddy requests can be obtained while exploring other maps!
Only Residents Can Give Buddy Requests
Only buddies who live in houses can give Buddy Requests. If you want to get requests from a specific islander, make sure to build a house for them first!
Complete Personal Request to Get Another One
Buddies can give you another Buddy Request after you complete the first one. Make sure to finish their initial request, and you should be able to receive another afterward.
Wait the Next Day
If you stop getting Buddy Requests from your islanders, just wait until the next day to get more.
Keep in mind there's a high chance you'll get one from a different buddy. There's even a possibility of getting two from different buddies!
How to Unlock Buddy Requests
Complete Chapter 2
Buddy Requests can be unlocked after completing Chapter 2. Once you gain free access to your Base Camp, you should be able to get requests, especially as you expand it with more islanders while progressing through the story.
Buddy Requests Explained
Daily Requests from Buddies
Buddy Requests are personal requests that you can get from your resident islanders or buddies. These quests are random, and if you don’t complete them, they’ll disappear the next day. However, that also means you’ll get new ones!
Helps Raise Affinity
Doing Buddy Requests is also a good way to boost your buddies' affinity. With higher affinity, you can access skills that provide different beneficial effects, whether through combat, gathering, or crafting.
