Area Ranks are an important aspect in Ginormosia as it determines enemy and foraging levels in FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time. Learn how to raise Area Ranks, how to earn Area Points, and the benefits of increasing area rank!
How to Raise Area Rank
Interact with Respective Tower
To raise an area's rank, simply interact with the area's Tower to raise or lower their area rank.
This is only applicable in Ginormosia as Area Rank does not affect the Past or Present.
Ginormosia World Map and All Locations
Area Points Are Required for Level Up
Area Rank leveling up takes Area Points to raise. Each rank will cost a different amount of Area Points, and will increase for every level up.
How to Earn Area Points
Complete Area Challenges

The best way to gain Area Points fast is to complete Area Challenges around the area.
These are typically fighitng or foraging challenges and will award you with a big amount of Area Points.
Area Challenge Locations
These Area Challenges are denoted on your minimap with a red speech bubble.
Defeating Enemies and Foraging

The usual way you will be getting Area Points is by defeating enemies, bosses and foraging materials around Ginormosia.
These offer a smaller amount of Area Points compared to Area Challenges but will still be a great way to farm points.
Benefits of Increasing Area Rank

Raising enemy ranks makes enemies and foragable spots stronger. Stronger monsters and foragable spots can offer you more EXP which makes griding for levels easier.
Leveling Guide: How to Level Up Fast
Shop Inventory Increase
Shops around Ginormosia will also increase the shop inventory per Area Rank. Most items are locked behind Area Rank levels at the start and will need Area level ups to unlock.
