Island building is unlocked after completing Chapter 3 in FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time. Learn the basics of Island Building, how to build an islander house, how to unlock it, and more!

To enter Craft Mode in your Island, you will need to press the Craft Mode button on your respective console or the H key on PC. This brings out the Craft Mode interface which allows you to focus completely on moving furiture around the island.
Placing Objects on Your Island

Placing objects is simple. In Craft Mode, press the Furniture Menu button, hover over the item you wish to display on your island, and place it down.
Removing Debris and Weed

When players first unlock Base Camp, there are a lot of debris and weed littering the island. Clearing out weed is simple with your Interact button.
Clearing out debris will be more complicated as most debris will require more residents in your island to clear out depending on its size.
Clearing these objects out from your island lets you gain more access to space to decorate and build more buildings around your island.

Gain Valuable Items Clearing Debris
Clearing out debris will also give you items upon completion. These items can range from Celestia's Gifts, rare items, armor, or materials.
Registering Islanders
Registering islanders is an important step in completing your island. Islanders will not be considered a Resident if they are not assigned a Vacant Home to stay in.
This prohibits them from lodging requests to you, and in turn, unable to build affinity with you.
Buddy Requests
Islanders can put up requests for players to complete. These requests raise said Islander's affinity which unlocks special skills when levelled up enough.
How to Build an Islander House
Talk to Cooke
To start, talk to Cooke inside the Base Camp Guild Office.Hover over to Islander's House and select it.
Pick a House Design
You will be given a menu listing all the Islander House designs you currently have. Pick a design you want to build and Cooke will hand you a construction kit for the house.
Pick an Area to Build
Head out to your island and pick an area where you want the house to be built on. The house area will be highlighted in blue on the ground.
Get a Relocation Kit from Cooke
If players aren't satisfied with the placement of their houses, talking to Cooke about Islander House Relocation will allow you to relocate a house of an Islander.
Wait for Building to Finish
After picking a place, a temporary construction site will be built. Players will need to wait for the gauge to finish in real time to see the newly constructed house.
How to Increase Max Number of Islander Houses
Level Up Base Camp Guild Office
To increase the number of houses in your island, players will need to complete bulletin board milestones.
These can range from simple tasks of redecorating your own island home to building 10 buildings on the island.

How to Unlock Island Crafting
Complete Chapter 3
Players will need to complete Chapter 3 before unlocking Island Crafting in your Base Camp.
