Have an Epic Games Account
First, you’re going to need an Epic Games account. Cross-Save runs through Epic’s servers. That means your game data gets attached to your Epic account, which you’ll then log into on both systems you plan to use. No Epic account, no Cross-Save.
Also, heads up: you need a copy of the game on both systems. The only exceptions are if you’re transferring between a Switch and a Switch 2, or a PS4 to a PS5. In those cases, the save file moves freely since it’s still technically in the same platform family.
Upload Save Data
To start, launch Fantasy Life i on the system that holds your precious progress. From the title screen, there’s a specific button you’ll need to press depending on your system that’ll open up the Cross-Save menu.
The game will prompt you to link your Epic Games account if you haven’t already. Follow the on-screen instructions and make sure you log into the same account on both devices later, or your data won’t know where to go.

Update Cross-Save Data
Now, when you’re in the game and ready to save, there’s an extra step you cannot skip. After choosing to save, make sure you check the option that says Update Cross-Save data as well.
If you don’t tick that box, your current save won’t get uploaded for Cross-Save purposes. Once you’ve saved with Cross-Save enabled, you’ll get a confirmation message. That’s how you know it’s in the cloud and ready for transfer.
Download and Use Your Save on Another System
On your second device, fire up Fantasy Life i and from the title screen, go into the Cross-Save Inspection option. If your data was properly uploaded from the other system, it should show up here. You’ll get a prompt asking if you want to load it, and once you confirm, your save will be imported to that system.
Just a heads up: the game only supports one save file, so when you save on one system, it’ll overwrite the Cross-Save data for all other platforms linked to your Epic account. No splitting different playthroughs across systems.

The FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time will have a cross-play and cross-save feature across all the platforms that support it.
This means that those who play on Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch can all play with one another.
The game will be available in both Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition, with the latter offering an early access feature 3 days ahead of its release which is May 21, 2025.
