Movement and Camera

Action PlayStation Xbox Switch
Move PS4 - Left Stick. XBOX - Left Stick. NSW - Left Analog
Dash
PS4 - Left Stick. + PS4 - R2 Button.
XBOX - Left Stick. + XBOX - Right Trigger.
NSW - Left Analog + NSW - ZR
Jump PS4 - Circle Button. XBOX - B Button. NSW - A
Adjust Camera PS4 - Right Stick. XBOX - Right Stick. NSW - Right Analog

Basic movement like walking, dashing, jumping, and controlling the camera is your bread and butter in the game. You will be using these controls all of the time.

Additionally, you can also dash while riding a mount, allowing for even faster movement.

Examine / Talk

Whenever you spot a thought bubble or a magnifying glass hovering over an NPC or object, that’s your cue to interact. Press the Examine/Talk button to start conversations, pick up items, or check out points of interest.

Talking to certain NPCs with a floating bubble on their head will grant you quests so take time to interact with them.

Jump while facing a ledge to grab onto it, eventually climbing on top of it. You cannot climb onto higher platforms if the climb prompt does not appear.

Swimming

Get Out of Water PS4 - Circle Button. XBOX - B Button. NSW - A

Dive into rivers, lakes, or the ocean by simply walking into them. You’ll automatically start swimming.

When you’re ready to head back to dry land, swim toward the shore and hit the climb button when prompted.

Combat Life PS4 - Square Button. XBOX - X Button. NSW - Y
Crafting Life Approach a Workbench and Craft

Switching between your different Lives is super intuitive once you know how. Approach a resource like a tree, ore vein, or fishing spot and press the corresponding Gather button to automatically switch to the proper Gathering Life.

Draw your weapon with the Combat Life attack button to jump into battle mode. And for crafting, find a workbench, interact, and craft away.

You Cannot Switch To A Life You Do Not Own Yet

FANTASY LIFE i - Guild Office.

It is important to note that if you haven't unlocked a specific Life yet, it won't be available to use even if you are near a gathering spot.

Consider going to the Guild Office to unlock the remaining Lives!

Open your bag with the designated button to use items. For extra convenience, you can register items to a quick-access slot from the menu so they’re ready with a single press mid-battle or while out gathering.

You can remap the buttons by accessing the Weird Pad and going to the Options Menu.

From here, hover over to the Controls section and you'll get the freedom to remap the buttons to your liking.
