To open Decorating Mode, use the Decorate Mode button to open the interface for decorating. This allows your camera to move more freely to be able to decorate more accurately.

Placing objects is simple. In Decorate Mode, press the Furniture Menu button, hover over the item you wish to display on your island, and place it down.

To place an object on the wall, move and face the wall you wish to decorate. Pick a wall decoration you wish to use and place it on your desired spot.

Players can also change their home's wallpaper and flooring by choosing their desired wallpaper and flooring and selecting it to apply to their home.
What Do House Decorations Do?
One of the Daily Activities
While house decoration is mostly for aesthetic purposes, decorating your house is one of the possible activities a player may get as a Daily Activity for double Celestia's Gifts.
Bulletin Board Goals
Your Base Camp Bulletin Board also asks for players to decorate their house to gain Base Camp points to upgrade your Island.
Where to Get Furniture
Buy Recipes From Shops
Furniture Recipes can be bought at most shops. Each shop will carry their own recipes for furniture so if players are looking for a specific aesthetic, it's best to explore and unlock all shops around the game.
Learn Recipes from Crafting Lives
Leveling up your Crafting Lives will also give the players access to recipes exclusive to Crafting Lives.
Craft on Workbench
Once players have their desired recipes, head to a workbench and craft them.
