The Helbrute is a hulking, armored Terminus threat enemy belonging to Chaos that you face as a boss in both the Campaign and higher-level Operations.
Helbrute Abilities | |
---|---|
Charge Charges at you in a linear direction and pins you down if caught. |
Chaos Cannon Charges up the cannon and slowly fires 3 shots in succession. |
The Helbrute might be slow and cumbersome, but its attacks focus on AoE and knockbacks. If you are not careful, the Helbrute can easily stun-lock you.
This is the Helbrute's signature move. The Helbrute can pull this off either instantaneously or coming from a Charge.
The sign that the Helbrute is about to perform this is that its hammer begins glowing with purple energy. Even if you avoid the initial slam, watch out for the explosion that comes shortly after.
The head of the Helbrute, relative to the size of its body, is extremely small. However, it also serves as a weak spot, given how the rest of it is covered in thick armor.
It does not matter what ranged weapon you use, hitting the head deals more damage.
As opposed to parrying, given that the Helbrute's attacks have long animations and large hit zones, you are better off dodging then counter-attacking.
There are certain moves that you can parry, leaving the Helbrute open to a Gun-Strike.
However, instead of immediately taking it, wait until the last minute - such as when the Helbrute is about to attack - to trigger your Gun-Strike. This disrupts the Helbrute's attack, staggering it, giving you a brief window to deal more damage.
