Will There Be DLC?

No Official Announcement Yet

As of writing, there has been no DLC announced yet for Spider-Man 2 (PS5). While this may be the case for now, this might change in the future especially if the previous game is any indicator.

DLC Could Come at a Later Date

Although there hasn't been any official word from the game's developers, it would be fair to expect a DLC somewhere down the line given how a 3-part DLC was released in the coming months after the release of the previous game.

Exploring Cindy Moon's storyline

Spider-Man 2 is laden with easter eggs and hints about potential characters that could be part of the next game or even as early as the DLC. One such character is introduced during the post-credits scene and is simply named Cindy. This leads to speculation that Cindy Moon aka Silk will be part of the game in some capacity.

Who is Cindy Moon?

Chameleon's first appearance

Another character introduced in the game comes during the Midtown Unidentified Target mission. Once you get to the apartment to investigate, a noxious gas will fill the room causing Spider-Man to leave. A man in the building across is seen watching the whole time and is revealed to be Chameleon. He vows to do what his brother couldn't, potentially hinting at Chameleon's bigger role later on.

Another iconic villain in Carnage

During a cutscene in the conclusion of It Was Meant For Me, it is revealed that The Flame's objective all this time was to retrieve a Symbiote. With Venom being part of the game, The Flame's actual identity could very well be Cletus Kasady, arguably the most infamous host of the Carnage symbiote.

Revisiting familiar characters

In the following months after the first game's release, Insomniac Games immediately followed up with Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps. These included three different storylines and serves as an epilogue to the game.

If the DLC for Spider-Man 2 replicates the formula of the previous game, missions could feature a bigger role for familar characters already in the series or could possibly expand on newer ones introduced at the ending.

More Suits from various Spider-Heroes

Another possible addition to the game by way of DLC is more suits. Given how many iterations Spider-Man has gone through over the years, along with those many versions come various suits.

Suits currently part of the game such as the Webbed Suit and the Into The Spider-Verse Suit were originally added to the first game as a DLC. If more suits are to be added, chances are a DLC is how Insomniac Games could add them in.
