Phase One - Stay Away from EMP Charges

During the Anything Can Be Broken Main Mission, you will encounter Kraven as a boss fight in the game.

Phase One of the boss fight will have Kraven throw several EMP Charges towards you.

Be sure to stay away from its area of effect to avoid taking damage from its detonation.

Dodge His Smoke Bombs

Spider-Man 2 (PS5) - How to Beat Kraven Dodge After Smoke Bomb
Kraven will also be throwing smoke bombs to disorient you from your surroundings. After you've regained your senses, he will be attacking you from another direction.

Avoid the smoke bombs to prevent being disoriented, or his ranged attacks if you've already been exposed to the smoke.

Use Surrounding Objects to Your Advantage

Throw objects at him by pressing R1 and L1 to grab throwable objects near you and hurl them towards Kraven.

Phase Two - Web Up the Bell

Once Phase Two of the boss fight starts, he will be using the bell's ringing to weaken the symbiote and make Peter vulnerable.

Fire webs at the bell by pressing R1 to stop it from ringing.

Avoid His Sniper Aim

Kraven will attempt to shoot at you from a long distance using a sniper. Quickly dodge away from the path of his aim to avoid taking damage.

Defeat the Robotic Hounds

He will send his robotic hounds after you. Defeat his mechanical pets before they unleash an electric pulse that will disable your abilities.

Kraven Uses Cloaking Technology

At some point, Kraven will use his cloaking technology that will render him near invisible in the area.

Make sure to keep a keen eye on your Spider-Sense ability to know when he's coming.

Phase One - Dodge His Smoke Bombs Again

Spider-Man 2 (PS5) - How to Beat Kraven Smoke Bombs Again
During the Don't Be Scared Main Mission, you will encounter Kraven again as a boss fight in the game.

When facing off against him during Phase One of the boss fight, you will be using Venom as a playable character. Kraven will now be using an electric spear and shield to fight you off.

Additionally, he will also be using his usual bag of tricks. Steer clear from his smoke bombs to avoid getting disoriented.

Dodge or Parry His Projectiles and Missiles

Kraven will be firing off projectiles and missiles from his shield. Be sure to avoid the path of his missile aim to avoid the explosive attack,

When using Venom, you could also hurl the projectiles and missiles back at him when you parry.

Kraven Uses Cloaking Technology Again

Kraven will be employing his cloaking technology again. Watch out for your.... Venom-Sense ability and make sure you avoid his incoming attacks.

In contrast with the Spider-Sense, the Venom-Sense is shown as a bunch of squiggly lines beside Venom's head.

Kraven the Hunter is one of the most ruthless and uncompromising adversaries of Spider-Man in the comic books. He is dedicated to a fault when it comes to hunting, and he will stop at nothing to catch any prey he deems worthy to kill.

As an exceptional and dedicated hunter, Kraven has always sought out a worthy prey that can challenge him in every aspect of his being. This ultimately led him to believe that Spider-Man is the very creature he was born to hunt.

Although he has no outstanding superpowers, Kraven is blessed with a strong physique and disciplined mind that renders even the most skilled warriors incapacitated after engaging him in combat.

Kraven Begins the Hunt

In Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Introducing Kraven the Hunter trailer, Kraven was shown hunting down a man with ease. He kill hims mercilessly, and tosses him aside.

After becoming dissatisfied with the hunt, Kraven asks his men why they chose a man not worthy of his strength.

In response, one of his men offered a new hunting ground and handed Kraven a device that showed the layout of New York and its resident heroes and villains.

Kraven smiles, and announces that 'The Great Hunt begins'.

Kraven serves as one of the main antagonists of Spider-Man in the game. As shown in the trailer, he will seek out any creature or individual that he finds worthy of his skillls.

As targets of his Great Hunt, both Spider-Men will be put to the test when engaging Kraven. In their line of heroism, they have never faced a more ruthless and cunning foe.

New York Targets

As shown in Introducing Kraven the Hunter trailer, a list of potential targets was shown to Kraven by one of his henchmen. This list includes the following individuals:

  • Spider-Man/Peter Parker

  • Kingpin

Only time will tell if the list plays any significant role in Kraven's arc during the sequel, and on whether he will be able to hunt down both our heroes or not.

During the Bad Guys On The Block mission, Peter will witness Kraven killing Scorpion from a computer screen during a cutscene.
