During the No Escape Main Mission, you will encounter Mister Negative as a boss fight in the game.
Mister Negative will unleash horizontal slashes towards you during Phase One of the boss fight. You should jump over them to avoid taking damage.
When Mister Negative decides to attack you with vertical slashes, dodge sideways or glide along the area to avoid getting hit.
A pillar of light will emit from him when he's ready to use the attack, so be sure to watch his moves.
Once Phase Two of the boss fight starts, one of his signature demons will appear. This will be followed by a dark sphere encasing him.
He will begin to mix up his attacks, unleashing vertical slashes and following them up with black tornado attacks as an example.
Use any of Miles' Abilities to penetrate through the dark sphere encasing Mister Negative.
Mister Negative will employ straight lunges towards Miles. You will know it's coming when he begins to charge the weapon he's holding.
Avoid the lunges as soon as you see Mister Negative charge his weapon.
Mister Negative will be replenishing his health for Phase Three of the boss fight, accompanied by his demon and surrounded by a black sphere.
During this point of the boss fight, you will begin to recognize the pattern of his attacks. Anticipate his attacks, and dodge them to keep up your momentum.
Gain some distance away from him and shoot webs by pressing R1 to stun him momentarily. Unleash a barrage of attacks against him when he's vulnerable.
After your physical confrontation, Miles will be seemingly transported to a world made of black and white. Follow the floating demon you see on your path.
The floating demon will attack you with vertical and horizontal slashes, similar to what Mister Negative unleashed earlier. Avoid these slashes when you're swinging along the way.
When you near the end of your chase, you will be prompted to press Triangle and attack the demon. Once you do so, a cutscene will play out.
Miles will be facing off against his inner demons during this stage in the fight. Defeat them until you see a spectral silhouette of Jefferson Davis floating.
Follow the specter, and defeat your inner demons. You will be prompted to use the Reverse Flux by pressing L1 and Circle.
Using Reverse Flux will magnetize your enemies towards you and repelling them with an electrical charge. A cutscene will play out after you've defeat your inner demons.

Mister Negative was one of Spider-Man's deadliest foes in comic book history. When he takes on the persona of Martin Li, he has a kind and caring personality. When adopting the Mister Negative persona, he gains superhuman abilities and acquires a more ruthless and sadistic nature.
Due to the two personalities clashing with one another, Spider-Man often struggles on how best to deal with Mister Negative. Peter inherently knows that Martin Li is a good person, but letting his guard down would often result to his downfall at the hands of Mister Negative.
As seen during the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Story Trailer, Miles Morales is shown facing off against Martin Li and holding a grudge against him. It is implied that both characters will have some sort of personal tension in the sequel game.
In the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Launch Trailer, Mister Negative seems to have full access and control of his signature demonic powers when fighting against Spider-Man/MIles Morales.

Mister Negative A.K.A. Martin Li is one of the main antagonists in Marvel's Spider-Man, alongside Otto Octavius. Like Otto, he had a vendetta against Norman Osborn that resulted to a partnership between the two.
Initially, he was portrayed as a generous and altruistic character serving as an operation manager F.E.A.S.T. In the later part of the story, Peter learns about Li's connection with the Inner Demon Criminal Organization and villain persona as Mister Negative.
After having struck an alliance with Otto Octavius, Mister Negative executed the plans enacted by the mad scientist to ensure the downfall of Norman Osborn's name and empire.
Mister Negative later attempted to kill Norman Osborn, which Spider-Man prevented by defeating him in combat.
