Harry's Overall Look Redesigned

Harry was barely featured in the first game so his physical appearance could only be seen through photos in-game.

In the Spider-Man 2 (PS5) sequel, Harry got a complete overhaul for his appearance and received a new haircut and facial features that made him look more youthful.

Voice Actor Change

Aside from the change made to his physical appearance, Harry also got a new voice actor for the sequel.

Scott Porter was originally the voice of Harry during the events of Marvel's Spider-Man (2018), but was later recasted to Graham Phillips in the sequel game.

Briefly Mentioned in Marvel's Spider-Man

Harry Osborn was only mentioned briefly during the events of the first game Marvel's Spider-Man, specifically during the Step Into My Parlor... Mission.

It was established that Harry acquired the same deadly disease that killed his mother, which led to Norman Osborn pouring most of his resources into finding a cure for his son.

This led to the creation of Devil's Breath, a treatment developed to cure Harry's disease. Devil's Breath was later employed as a bioweapon by Doctor Octopus to enact his vengeance against Norman Osborn.

During the ending of the game, Norman Osborn was shown talking to an individual submerged in green liquid and attached to black tendrils. This individual was later revealed to be Harry Osborn.

Harry’s Recordings Can Be Heard in Research Stations

During the Research Station Side Quests, Harry can be heard instructing Peter of what to do during those missions. This gives an emphasis of how altruistic Harry is when it involves his late mother's work, given that the stations were concepts developed by his mother.

It can also be hinted that Harry was planning on following his mother's footsteps to preserve the environment and become an environmental lawyer.

Expanded Role in Spider-Man 2

In Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Story Trailer, Harry is shown being alive and well. His latest appearance is a stark contrast to his last one where he was unconsciously floating in green liquid.

Harry begins to talk with Peter about being given a second chance and wanting to change the world. Later in the trailer, Harry is seen meeting with Miles Morales, standing with a walking stick, and conversing with Norman Osborn.

It is evident that Harry Osborn will have a more pivotal role in the sequel game. Only time will tell exactly how Harry's part in the story will play out, and on whether he becomes an ally or enemy to our friendly neighbor Spider-Man.

Possible Villain Role

It could be speculated that Harry might take on a more villainous role as Venom. The ending from the first game led many to believe that the black tendrils attached to his floating body are actually the symbiote that gave birth to Venom.

In the story trailer of the sequel, Harry is seen looking ominously from a balcony with Venom's voice actor saying 'We are going to heal the world'. This might reference Harry's possible turn as the symbiotic villain.

It is also worth mentioning that Harry Osborn has taken villainous personas throughout some comic book runs of Spider-Man, in which he took the names of Green Goblin, American Son, and Kindred.
