Spider-Man 2 - Multiplayer Guide
Insomniac Games has confirmed that Spider-Man 2 (PS5) will have no online multiplayer modes or any co-op play. Read on to learn more details about Spider-Man 2's multiplayer status and if there will be co-op play down the line!

Will Spider-Man 2 Be Multiplayer?

No Online or Co-op Play Available

Insomniac Games confirmed that Spider-Man 2 will have no multiplayer modes or co-op play and will purely be a single-player experience.

Fans Disappointed with No Co-Op Play

Upon finding out that Peter Parker and Miles Morales are both playable Spider-Men in the game, fans were eager to know whether or not they could use both Spider-Men in co-op mode to swing across New York in tandem. To the fans' dismay, Insomniac quickly responded that the Spider-Man 2 would be a one-player game.

Can Players Switch Characters?

Character Switching Available in Overworld

While co-op play isn't available, players can at least switch between Peter and Miles in the overworld. Aside from combat and exploration, swapping between the two is also done to have access to missions and side quests exclusive to a certain Spider-Man.
