Lizard is the boss fight you will encounter during the It Chose You Main Mission in Spider-Man 2 (PS5). Read on to learn how to beat Lizard, his background, and what his role will be in the game.

Phase One - Dodge Crush Attacks
During the It Chose You Main Mission, you will encounter the Lizard as a boss fight in the game.
The Lizard will be employing Crush Attacks that could neither be parried or blocked during Phase One of the boss fight, so make sure you dodge these when executed.
Swing Along the Room to Gain Distance
Be sure to traverse around the area when you feel like you're being cornered and bombarded with the Lizard's attacks.
Phase Two - Open the Yellow Vents
During Phase Two of the boss fight, Lizard will sometimes be standing nearby on one of the yellow-surfaced vents.
Press L1 and R1 to open it and momentarily stun him, which will give you an opening to attack him.
Phase Three - Follow the Lizard
A cutscene will play out after you have defeated the Lizard, which shows him making a fun for it from Spider-Man.
Chase after his tail and don't lose sight of him during Phase Three of the boss fight.
Avoid the Projectiles
Kraven's henchmen will also be pursuing the Lizard with their own set of aerial vehicles. They will be shooting at him throughout the whole chase, so be sure not to get caught in the line of fire.
Be sure to check your Spider-Sense ability if bullets will be aiming towards you.
Climb Up the Building
During the progression of the whole chase sequence, you will be forced to follow the Lizard up a building alongside a Jeep attached to him. Make sure that you dodge the falling debris and bombarding Jeep along your path when you follow him.
Phase Four - Parry or Jump Away From His Attacks
During Phase Four of the boss fight, you could choose to either parry his attacks by pressing L1 or jump away to avoid unnecessary damage.
Open the Red Vents This Time
Like earlier, opening any red-surfaced vents when the Lizard is near will cause him to be momentarily stunned. Unleash a barrage of attacks against him to deal significant damage.
Web Him Up, Then Use Web-strike
Shoot your Web projectiles at the Lizard by pressing R1 to web him up. Follow it up with a Web-strike by pressing Triangle when the opportunity presents itself for good measure. After defeating him, a cutscene will play out.

The Lizard A.K.A. Dr. Curt Connors was a recurring villain of Spider-Man, oftentimes depicted as an unwilling and unhinged adversary when taking on his reptilian form.
He was a celebrated doctor during his prime, but his obsession with restoring his missing limb led him to develop a serum that causes one to mutate into a giant Lizard. Unfortunately, he chose himself as a test subject.
Spider-Man was often conflicted facing the Lizard as a foe, given that he knew Curt Connors was a misunderstood soul. In the long publication of Spider-Man comics, Curt Connors constantly tries to redeem himself from his actions as the Lizard.

As shown in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Gameplay Reveal trailer, Peter was shown tracking down Curt Connors. It is hinted that the doctor was of key importance in the recovery of Harry Osborn, which resulted to Peter's desperation in finding him.
