There will be machines in the area that emit a sonic sound when yanked on by pressing R1 and L1. Activating it will generate a high-frequency sound that will dispose off the Venom clones easily, and momentarily stun Venom.

After you defeat him, a cutscene will play out. You will be switched to Miles as your playable character.

Phae Three - Throw His Projectiles Back

When he uses his ranged attacks toward you, be sure to snag his projectiles by pressing L1 and R1, and throw it right back at him.

Electrocute Him

After he replenishes his health, Venom will no longer be flying. Dodge or parry when facing him head-on. If you're near enough, throw the glowing cannister at him so that Venom can be electrocuted.

Comic Book Lore

Venom is an alien symbiote that requires a host to survive and function. Once a host is found, the alien symbiote grants it a number of superhuman abilities. In Spider-man's comic book history, Venom is one of the most enduring adversaries in his villain roster.

As a former host of the Venom symbiote, Peter Parker felt the great advantages of donning the alien symbiote as a suit. However, the symbiote also heightened and fluctuated his emotions that negatively affected the people in his personal life.

After Peter removed the symbiote permanently off him, Venom became obsessed with the idea of making Peter Parker its permanent host.

This resulted to their ceaseless clash with one another, with Venom choosing other hosts such as Eddie Brock and Flash Thompson to survive and fight against Spider-Man.

Venom Voice Actor

Venom Voiced by Acclaimed Tony Todd

Venom's voice in the trailers may be recognizable for those acquainted with the horror genre, as the venomous behemoth will be voiced by none other than Tony Todd.

Known for his antagonistic roles in the Candyman and Final Destination film series, Tony Todd will lend his talents and gravelly voice to give life towards the villanous Venom.

Is Venom Playable?

Temporarily Playable in the Main Story

Players will be able to play as Venom for a short period of time during the game's main story. While controls are limited compared to when players use Peter or Miles, Venom has exclusive moves, all of which are grander in scale compared to the attacks of the famed Spider-Men.

Peter Parker

Peter - Marvel
As revealed during the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Gameplay Reveal trailer, Peter can be seen donning the Venom symbiote suit to fight off enemies.

While clearly effective, the venom symbiote seems to have altered with Peter's emotions to make him more aggressive.

It is currently unknown what part of the story will Peter don the Venom symbiote suit, and for how long will the Venom suit play a part to Peter's arc in the game.

Harry Osborn

Harry Osborn - Spider-Man 2 (PS5)
During the Story Trailer of the game, it was highly suggested that Harry Osborn will take on the mantle of Venom. This was made clear when Venom's voice actor said 'We are going to heal the world', while Harry looks ominously from a balcony.

The first game also showed Harry having black tendrils surrounding him during the ending. Many have speculated that the tendrils were actually the Venom symbiote that kept Harry alive throughout his stay in the liquid tank.
