When to Use Wildcat Formation

Confuse the Defense by Not Snapping to the Quarterback

In the Wildcat formation, the ball is snapped to a Receiver, Running Back, or Tight End instead of the Quarterback. This variation on the opening play can be used to confuse the Defense and force their attention away from the center of the field.
