Recipes obtained can add additional food that Madam Blancmage can cook in the base once you complete her quest and add her as a character! You can purchase also purchase food from her albeit, at a smaller inventory size and obtaining recipes are the only way to further increase the number of her cookable dishes.

Increase Craftable Pellets

Axel can craft pellet for the siblings once you complete his quest and add him as a staff member in your base! You can purchase pellets from him but to craft rarer items, you'll have to obtain the recipe versions of pellets called formula!
