This is a walkthrough to finding the Amber Horn in Dragon Quest Treasures. Read on for a detailed walkthrough, list of rewards, tips for completion, as well as boss fight strategies!

Getting the Horn Hoarder's Tablet

1. Use the Fortune Finder
Once you're out to seek treasures and increase your Gang Rank, make use of the Fortune Finder (L + B) to know the direction of buried treasures. Keep following the compass until you reach the treasure area, where a message will pop up saying one is nearby.
Use the Fortune Finder again to view your ally monsters' treasure visions and see the exact spot of where the treasure is buried!
1. Raise the Gang Rank to 4
The main story will only proceed by increasing your Gang Rank. For the quest for the Amber Horn to start, you need to obtain enough treasures to reach a Vault Value of 10,000,000 and Gang Rank 4.
2. Clearing the portals
Portals within the Snarl will lead you to a series of battles that will end in a boss battle. We recommend bringing lots of Heal Pellets to keep your allies healthy, especially in the last levels.
Finding the Amber Horn
| 3 | Take the train to Cinderback Ridge |

| 4 |  Head to the center of Backatoa on the west side of the map We recommend setting The Giant's Horn as the active quest so you can easily follow the objective marker on your minimap. |
| 5 | Fight Magmantes This is an unwinnable battle, so you can just run around until a cutscene starts. After the cutscene, you will receive the Stun Pellet Formula. |
| 6 |  Craft some Stun Pellets This is only possible after getting Axel back to the base. Axel is found west of the Cold Shoulder Central Station. |
| 7 | Return to Magmantes with the Stun Pellets |
| 8 | Pinch the Amber Horn from Magmantes You don't really need to use the Stun Pellets. As soon as the battle starts, crouch then hold the A button to Pickpocket. |

6. Get Axel back to the base to craft Stun Pellets
Location of Cindeblock on the map
You need to get Axel back to the base to unlock The Werks facility and craft Pellets. Axel can be found west of the Cold Shoulder Central Station, and will ask you to grab a Cinderblock first before he returns to base.
The Cinderblock can be found north of the Cold Shoulder, and will be marked as an objective after talking to Axel.
Once he's back at the base, talk to Miss Cecily to open The Werks and put up an order for Stun Pellets.
8. Immediately use Pickpocket as soon as the battle begins
As soon as the second fight against Magmantes begins, crouch by pressing the Left Analog Stick then hold A to fill up the Pinch gauge. Once it's full, release the button to bring up a wheel where you need to press A again at the right time.
Successfully pinching from Magmantes immediately ends the battle, even without the use of Stun Pellets.
Boss Strategy: Golden Goliath
Heal Your Allies
Your team might be low on health by the time you reach this level, so make sure you're all healed up first to be safe. Although, if your ally monsters are around level 15, there's nothing much to worry about as the Golden Goliath can't really hit hard enough.
