How to Use the Map
The Map is a common feature in games that allows you to survery the nearby landscape and pinpoint your exact location in these massive sprawling open world games. This is a guide on how to open your map and the method you need on how to unlock the map feature!

How to Use the map

Hold the - Button

map - Dragon Quest Treasures
Holding the minus button on the Switch wil bring up the map. The map will highlight specific legends in the area such as Campfires and it can also give you a good view of the area's layout and your current location. Make sure to use the map regularly and you may even find hidden areas!

When Do You Unlock the Map?

Unlocked After Obtaining the Map of the Paternoggin

Map of the Paternoggin Item - Dragon Quest Treasures
After finding the treasure that two members of the Thunderous Plunderers ask for, they will snatch the treasure off of you in exchange for the map of Patternogin. Once the map is obtained you can then start using the map function.

Map Function Works for all Region

Despite the item name, the map will function for all regions of the game as opposed to just being usable on the Paternoggin region itself.
