Secret Areas can be found all over the map of Dragon Quest Treasures via icons or by using the scan forte. Read on to learn how to find these areas!

How to Find Secret Areas in Maps

Look for Icons that Indicate Passages

Dragon Quest Treasures - Icons for Hidden Areas

You may encounter a few areas that have strange icons! These areas normally require that you crouch to enter or have a specific forte to access them!

These fortes can be Sneak to crouch lower into the ground, Glide to traverse large spaces, Launch to reach high spaces, and more! So pay attention to your surroundings, especially near rock formations and rivers where caves may be found.

Use the Scan Forte

Dragon Quest Treasures - Scan Icon Activates the monster's sixth sense to check the surrounding area for crafting materials and treasure chests. Can only be used on the ground.

Many monsters will have the Scan Forte, which allows them to highlight areas that contain materials and treasure chests!

This is very useful because it can show you these items and indicate a hidden area that you may have missed!
