Traits are passive skills of monsters which provide permanent and temporary boosts to their stats. Read on to learn about all the traits of monsters in Dragon Quest Treasures!

 Attention Seeker |
Increases the likelihood of being targeted by enemies. |
 Clown |
Increases attack, defence, deftness, and magic when HP are full. |
| Counter-Debilitator | Enemies that land physical attacks will sometimes have a random stat decreased. |
| Counter-Hypnotist | Enemies that land physical attacks will sometimes be put to sleep. |
| Counter-Poisoner | Enemies that land physical attacks will sometimes be poisoned. |
| Counter-Stunner | Enemies that land physical attacks will sometimes be stunned. |
 Daredevil |
Increases all damage inflicted, but also increases all damage recieved. |
 Debilitator |
Physical attacks may decrease an enemy stat at random. |
 Double-Sided Fist |
Increases the damage inflicted by physical attacks, but also causes them to damage the user. |
| Glutton for Punishment | Restores HP whenever a physical attack inflicts damage on an enemy. |
 Greedy Guts |
Increases food slots by 1 and increases all stats when stomach is full (excluding max. HP and max. MP). |
 Healthy Advantage |
Increases damage inflicted when HP are high, but reduces it when HP get low. |
| Hypnotist | Physical attacks will sometimes put enemies to sleep. |
 Idealist |
Temporarily increases attack, defence, deftness and magic after landing a critical hit. |
 Lone Wolf |
Increases all damage inflicted, except during a Monster Medley, when it decreases. |
 Metal Skin |
Greatly reduces the damage received from all attack types. |
 Paragon |
Increases attack, defence and magic when HP get very low. |
 Poisoner |
Physical attacks will sometimes poison enemies. |
 Restless Heart |
Live to fight another day when HP reach zero. Only works once. |
 Rubber Skin |
Reduces the damage received from impact attacks. |
| Safety First | Reduces all damage recieved, but also reduces all damage inflicted. |
 Shiny Skin |
Inflicts damage back on enemies that cast a damage-inflicting spell. |
 Shrinking Violet |
Decreases the likelihood of being targeted by enemies. |
 Slim Pickings |
Decreases food slots 1, but raises all stats when hungry (excluding max. HP and max. MP). |
| Slippery Devil | Temporarily increases attack, defence, deftness, and magic after successfully blocking an attack. |
 Slippery Skin |
Reduces the damage received from piercing attacks. |
 Sorcereverb |
Increases the damage inflicted by spells, but also causes them to damage the user. |
 Spiky Skin |
Inflicts damage on enemies that land a physical attack. |
 Strange Skin |
Restores HP whenever an enemy casts a damage-inflicting spell. |
 Stunner |
Physical attacks will sometimes stun enemies. |
| Team Player | Reduces all damage inflicted, except during a Monster Medley, when it increases. |
 Thick Skin |
Reduces the damage received from slash attacks. |
 Unhealthy Advantage |
Increases damage inflicted when HP get low, but reduces it when HP are high. |
Traits provide buffs to the stats of monsters, this includes an increase in base stats such as Attack, Defence, and Magic.
Some traits have negative tradeoffs such as only activating when a monster's hp is low.
