Finding the Lapis Tail

Objectives
1 Clear the B2 portal in the Snarl
You will be rewarded with 5 Sanguinites and the Tail Taker's Tablet.

2 Take the train to the Hinterquarters

DQ Treasures - Lapis Tail location
Head north to Mount Numbumb where the objective marker is
We recommend setting The Snowbound Tail as the active quest so you can easily follow the objective marker on your minimap.
4 Use the Fortune Finder to find the exact spot of the treasure
Be careful of the lv35 Killing Machines guarding the area.
5 Return to the base with the Lapis Tail

1. Clear the B2 portal in the Snarl

DQ Treasures - B2 portal

The B2 portal in the Snarl is unlocked after reaching Gang Rank 6. It is located inside a room a floor below the first portal and is required to clear in order to progress the story.

It is recommended to level up your party to at least 20 and to stock up on Heal Pellets for the gauntlet.

4. Use the Fortune Finder to locate the Lapis Tail

Once you get to the marked area on the map, you'll need to use the Fortune Finder to find the exact spot of the Lapis Tail. Be careful when searching the area as lv35 Killing Machines are near the treasure spot. If combat is inevitable, you can end it quickly with Dragon Attacks.

Boss Strategy: Ultra Marine

Time Your Dodge From the Merciless Blade

The attack that you should watch out for the most is the Merciless Blade. Ultra Marine will charge up the attack while tracking its target's position, then releases a wave that deals massive damage. If the attack is locked-on to Erik/Mia, be sure to dodge to the sides as soon as the wave is released.
