Pre-ordering the game for both Standard and Deluxe Edition will give you 3 items that are very useful in the early stages of the game.

Obtain After Unlocking Base Features
The Pre-Order bonuses will automatically be obtained after reaching the end of the base features tutorial which is a few hours into the game. Do not be afraid of accidentally missing these bonuses as you will get an in-game notification when they are unlocked.

Buying the Deluxe Edition for Dragon Quest Adventures will give you a couple of in-game items, and access to three monster allies— Great Sabrecat, Ruby Golem, and Icy Dragling. The standard edition will only get you the full game, and some items you only get if you pre-ordered the game.
The download code you'll receive from either pre-ordering the game or buying the digital Deluxe Edition should be used as early as possible, as the bonuses you get will give you a head start at the early stages of the game.
