How to Beat First Boss Disco Wing

1. Launch Disco Eggs Towards Disco Wing
2. Press B Repeatedly When a Purple Blob Appears
3. Use Platforms to Avoid Rolling Attacks
4. Use the Heart Charm

Launch Disco Eggs Towards Disco Wing

To damage Disco Wing, you need to attack a disco egg and launch it just as Disco Wing flies above or below the egg's location.

Simply press the B button and use Stella's attack to launch the disco egg.

Press B Repeatedly When a Purple Blob Appears

After hitting Disco Wing a couple of times with disco eggs, it will crash towards the ground and a purple glob will appear. Approach the purple blob and repeatedly press the B button.

You need to do this three times to completely defeat Disco Wing.

Use Platforms to Avoid Rolling Attacks

In between its flying phases, Disco Wing will summon platforms and prepare its rolling attack.

Stand on top of the platforms and jump as soon as Disco Wing rolls towards you to avoid its attack.

Use the Heart Charm

If you're having a difficult time beating this boss, you can use the Heart Charm to get three extra hearts. You can turn this on in Sparkle Theater 1F and talking to the Theet near the center of the lobby.

Do note that there are no penalties when using a Heart Charm, so feel free to get extra hearts whenever you want the fight to be easier. You can always turn it off by speaking to the Theet again.

After you finish the game, you can rebattle Disco Wing in the 1F lobby. There are three challenges you can attempt during the rematch, and you can get Sparkle Gems upon clearing them.

How to Unlock Disco Wing Boss Battle

Complete All 1F Levels

You need to complete all levels in the first floor of the Sparkle Theater lobby before you can battle Disco Wing.

Once you clear all four levels, a door will appear in the middle of the lobby, which is where you can start the boss fight.

Give Stella 10 Sparkle Gems

You also need to give Stella 10 Sparkle Gems for her to be able to open the door and start the actual boss battle.
