The Heart Charm gives three extra hearts when turned on in Princess Peach: Showtime! Read on to learn more about the Heart Charm, how to turn it on/off, and if you should use it or not.

If you are constantly running out of hearts which prevents you from completing levels or beating bosses, speak to the Staff Member in the Theater Lobby and turn on the Heart Charm. You will get three more hearts, which will allow you to take more hits.
The Heart Charm is an in-game feature you can turn on in Princess Peach: Showtime! that gives you three extra hearts in addition to the five hearts you start with. This gives you a total of eight hearts to play with.
Talk to the Staff Member found around the center of the Theater Lobby to enable the Heart Charm. When asked if you want it, select Yes to get three extra hearts when playing inside a level.
After dying twice within a level, the game will give you the option to use the Heart Charm. This gives you three extra hearts when you retry the level.
Talk to the same Staff Member that enables it at the Theater Lobby found around the center of the room. When asked to return the Heart Charm, select Yes and you will lose the three extra hearts.
You should use the Heart Charm if you are having difficulty getting through a level. With the three bonus hearts, you are able to take more hits from enemies which leaves more room for mistakes.
