You need to complete all levels in the first floor of the Sparkle Theater lobby and defeat Disco Wing to unlock the Swordfighter Rehearsal.

Swordfighter Rehearsal Tips

Make Sure to Get 110 Points Before the Final Stretch!

Once you reach the final area of the stage, make sure you have at least 110 points since there won't be enough time for you to get more than 30 due to how the level is timed.

Make Use of the Jump Spin Attack

A very useful maneuver, this attack will let you deal damage to enemies above you to get more points. You can also use this to safely get onto ledges where enemies could suddenly move where you're landing.

Wait for Enemies to Group Up

Instead of flailing your Sword blindly, wait for enemies to group up together to deal a decisive blow while giving yourself time to react to your surroundings.

Watch Out For Thorns

If you stay near the edge of the screen, thorny vines will pop out from the ground which will damage you and end your run. You can either play it safe and avoid staying near the edge or too long, or remember the timing of the thorns popping out if you really want to camp on this areas.
