From where Sargon fell in the Depths after the fight with Varham, head right until you reach a moving mechanism with spike traps that you ride up to an upper platform.
Speak to the Old Woman here and she'll ask you to kill the Undead Erlik for a reward.
Although you can accept this quest as soon as your reach The Depths during the conclusion of Lost in Mount Qaf, you can't access the location where the Undead Erlik until you receive the Shadow of Simurgh time power.
You'll need to complete the story quest The Tiger and the Rat and defeat Alternate Sargon to access Undead Erlik's area with your new time power!
The Tiger and the Rat Walkthrough
Make your way back to starting point of The Depths where Sargon fell at the conclusion of The Tiger and the Rat and make your way left to the next area.
There's a Crawling Giant blocking the path to Undead Erlik's lair and you'll need the Shadow of Simurgh time power to defeat it.
Move closer to the giant and then use your Shadow of Simurgh to leave an impression on the middle of the tunnel as you bait it towards the right.
Once it's past your impression, use Shadow of Simurgh again to revert back to your position to end up behind the giant. Attack its tail to damage it, making sure to evade its attacks.
Once it's dead, make your way through the tunnel and to the next area.
The next area has spinning spike traps and a pipe that regularly spews poisonous water. You'll need to go through this obstacle and head to the upper area to reach the Wak-Wak Tree.
Head right from the Wak-Wak Tree and destroy the time paradox to restore the fast travel point.
Use this opportunity to fast travel back to Haven and upgrade any amulets or weapons for the upcoming boss fight.
From the Wak-Wak Tree, head left and up the upper area and slide down the path to the left to reach a dead end with a breakable platform.
Once you break the platform, you'll end up sliding down an area with spike traps and pits of poisonous water.
You'll need to quickly dash through the air using Rush of Simurgh to reach the leftmost side of the area.
Note: If you fail to reach the left area and instead slide down to the right, you'll end up in the area under the Wak-Wak Tree.
Head left into a chamber where Undead Erlik resides. He's faster than his regular boss version and you can't parry any of his attacks. You'll need to evade his attacks for openings, as well as hit him when he's using his poison spit attack.
We recommend building up your Athra Surge and using it on Undead Erlik when he's not charging since these moves take a huge chunk of his health while also staggering him.
How to Unlock All Athra Surges
Head to the left side of Undead Erlik's lair, you'll enter a small chamber where Sargon will surmise houses the remains of the Old Woman's children who were killed by the monstrous boar.
Pick up the Nursery Rhyme on a Toy Lore Item from the pile of bones at the end of the chamber to add to your collection.
Exit the chamber and head to Undead Erlik's lair for a short cutscene where Sargon meets the Old Woman.
Although Sargon has avenged her children, she'll angrily snap at him and transform into a Crawler.
This Crawler is stronger than regular crawlers and has more health, but is still a regular monster that you can stagger with attacks or launch in the air with combos.
Use an Athra Surge like Vayu's Wave to put some distance between you and the Crawler and deal high damage to it.
The Side Quest is complete once the Crawler is dead, but make sure to pick up the Indomitable Spirit Amulet from the Crawler's corpse before leaving the area.
