The following tips can help you beat Azhdaha in battle.
Azhdaha will perform an Unstoppable Attack where he attempts to bite you during battle. Azhdaha's eyes glow red when it initiates the attack.
Dodge the incoming bite strike by anticipating the attack. The towering serpent will bare its fangs before executing the bite.
If you've managed to dodge Azhdaha's bite attack, you may notice that the giant snake will take some time to rise again.
Use this opportunity to attack Azhdaha and deal some damage towards the boss.
There will be small windows of opportunity where Azhdaha is just stationary and its head is available for attacking.
Jump high to reach its head, and execute some attacks to deplete some of its health.
Azhdaha will whip out its tail across the battlefield to damage you. Simply jump out of the tail's projected motion to avoid damage.
The giant snake will conjure dagger-like projectiles in the air, and direct them towards you with great speed.
Wait until the projectiles comes close, and parry them to keep the momentum of the fight.
Azhdaha will breath out purple energy across the entire battlefield. During this attack, jump and dash towards the opposite direction to avoid the energy's impact.
Azhdaha will conjure purple spheres that descends on the ground and causes explosions when it comes into contact with the surface.
Dodge the spheres by jumping towards the gaps available when the spheres begin to descend.
Azhdaha will initiate a Reckless Attack when you reach Phase 2 of the boss fight. The towering serpent will first attack you with a tail whip, followed by a lunging bite.
You will need to dodge Azhdaha's first attack. From there, parry the bite to perform a Vengeful Counter and deal significant damage towards Azhada.
Like all Reckless Attacks, Azhdaha's eyes will glow yellow when initiating the attack.
Azhdaha will sink its tail in the ground, then it will try honing in on your location to emerge from the soil. After the tail shows itself, it will fire projectiles from both sides of the battlefield.
Do not linger in one place taking damage from the tail drill. Parry the projectiles that come out of its tail to neutralize any incoming damage.
Similar to Phase 1, Azhdaha will try to bite you when able. During this point, the bite attack consists of two consecutive strikes.
Dodge away from its bite attacks and make sure your health lasts throughout the battle.
If you can spare an Athra Surge Gauge, use Bahman's Breath to recover from any damage taken throughout the fight and deal explosion damage if Azhdaha comes near its area of effect.
How to Unlock All Athra Surges
Use the time powers in your arsenal and employ the Shadow of the Simurgh to teleport back into the mark as an alternative for dodging in midair.
This ability is ideal when avoiding Azhdaha's tail swipes or dodging the projectiles it aims at you.
All Time Powers and How to Unlock Them
Azhdaha tries to bite you during the battle. This can be anticipated when its eyes glow red.
Azhdaha uses its tail to swing it as a weapon across the battlefield.
The towering serpent summons projectiles hovering in midair, and directs them to head towards your location.
Azhdaha will breath out some sort of laser energy across the battlefield.
The giant snake will conjure up some floating spheres in midair. From there, the spheres will descend and explode when it reaches the surface.
Azhdaha will first try to swipe at you with its tail. It will follow up this attack with a lunging bite that could be parried for a Vengeful Counter.
Azhdaha will burrow its tail on the ground and force it out on your location. The tail will also release some projectiles as a succeeding attack.
Azhdaha will now try to bite you two times throughout the duration of the attack.
