Wak-Wak Tree Locations Interactive Map

We're constantly updating the map with Wak-Wak Tree Locations as we find them. If you have any information about a Wak-Wak Tree Location, let us know in the comments!


The interactive map is divided by areas of Mount Qaf, and shows all collectibles and important landmarks found in each of them.

  1. Use the dropdown in the top left of the Interactive Map above to switch between the areas of Mount Qaf.
  2. Click the Plus or Minus Sign icons to zoom in and out.
  3. Click an icon on the right side to show all the pins of a specific collectible, or click the magnifying glass button to search for a specific pin by name.
  4. Click a pin on the map to see its name and description.
  5. From here, you can click Mark as Acquired to indicate that you've gotten a collectible already. This will change its icon on the map to show that it has been collected.

Wak-Wak Tree #1

This Wak-Wak Tree is the first tree that you can interact with and can be found near the room with the chest on the upper left side.

This Wak-Wak Tree is located near the Mage's shop during the first time you encounter her. When arriving at the Mage's shop, go directly to your right and interact with the Wak-Wak Tree.

Wak-Wak Tree #3

This Wak-Wak Tree is located underneath Jahandar's lair. To reach this, you must first release the broken statue of the goddess from the time anomaly using Menolias' bow. Then, go directly towards the left-side room and you'll find the tree there.

If you opt to go right instead, you'll find Fariba who can sell you a Map Piece.

Wak-Wak Tree #4

This tree can only be accessed with the Rush of the Simurgh Time Power which is obtained after defeating Jahandar. From the Wak-Wak tree underneath Jahandar's lair, go back to the statue of the goddess and take the left passage along its arm.

In this room, there will be a series of spike trap puzzles that can only be safely navigated using the Rush of Simurgh. After braving the traps, head straight left and you'll find the tree.

If you go further to your left after arriving at the tree, a statue trapped within a time anomaly will be present.

Destroy the anomaly and unlock the Homa Statue Network. These statues will allow you the ability to fast travel from one statue to another.

Wak-Wak Tree #5

This tree is only accessible after obtaining the ability to transform your bow into a chakram. Find and talk to Menolias in the forest and he'll inform Sargon of how to use the bow's secondary ability.

Then go directly to your left and towards the puzzle where the game teaches you how to use the chakram. After that, go to the room towards the left.

Upon entering, climb up the wall and use the pole to swing towards the upper right area and you'll reach the tree. Beside it is the Lore Item, The Hunter and the Man-Eater.

Wak-Wak Tree #6

This Wak-Wak Tree is only accessible after you first get the Dimensional Claw Time Power during The Path to the Sand Prison Quest.

Find any explosive object like the purple glowbugs in the Hyrcanian Forest or a red barrel in the Lower City and throw it at the rocky barrier. Continue downwards and the tree should be at the end of this room.

Wak-Wak Tree #1

This is the first Wak-Wak Tree you'll encounter upon entering the Hyrcanian Forest. From the Lower City, just head right and you'll find this tree on your way inside the forest.

WAK-WAK HEAD: KAMIL
This the first Wak-Wak Head that you can encounter. It is important for completing the Tree of Life Trophy where you must speak to all the Wak-Wak Tree heads.

After the first Wak-Wak Tree in the Forest, just keep going right and jump across the mushroom platform and past the arrow refill to the next room and you'll find this tree there.

Wak-Wak Tree #3

This tree can be found right above the area where you find Menolias' Bow. From where you fight Erlik, go directly towards your right and a cutscene will play where you find the bow.

Then go back to the room you came and shoot the mushroom spores to open the platforms. Climb up the sequence of platforms then go right and you'll find the tree there.

Wak-Wak Tree #4

This Wak-Wak Tree is found near the edge of a ruin. You will need Menolias' Bow first to access this as the mushroom platforms can only be activated by them.

Wak-Wak Tree #5 - The Soma Tree

The unique Wak-Wak Tree called the Soma Tree can be found during The Path to the Sand Prison Quest. During the quest, Sargon will need to acquire a new power to break the seal to the entrance of the Pit of Eternal Sands.

The Soma Tree will be accessible as a save and respawn point. It also features a Wak-Wak head, however, this head will not speak to Sargon yet upon first encountering it.

WAK-WAK HEAD: SOMA TREE
This the fourth Wak-Wak Head that you can encounter. It is important for completing the Tree of Life Trophy where you must speak to all the Wak-Wak Tree heads.

The Soma Tree will not initially speak to you as its roots are still being corruted by Kiana, the Forest Queen. After her defeat, return to the area to be able to speak with the Wak-Wak head.

This Wak-Wak Tree is located in the area before Kiana, the Forest Queen's boss room and serves as its save and respawn point before the fight. It is only accessible during The Path to the Sand Prison Quest.

There is also a fast travel point in the far-right side of the area.

Wak-Wak Tree #7

This Wak-Wak Tree can be found right after gaining the Dimensional Claw Time Power. However, it can be accessed even before the fight against Kiana - just head to the upper west area of the map from the Soma Tree.

This tree can only be reached during the The Path to the Sand Prison Quest.

Sacred Archives Wak-Wak Trees

Wak-Wak Tree #1

This Wak-Wak Tree can be found at the top of the area where you first enter the Sacred Archives. Use the shifting stairs to blaze a path towards the top. The stairs change their orientation depending on which way Sargon faces.

WAK-WAK HEAD: KARIM
This the second Wak-Wak Head that you can encounter. It is important for completing the Tree of Life Trophy where you must speak to all the Wak-Wak Tree heads.

After going past the room where the Jailer first appears, climb to the top of the map while avoiding an onslaught of fire bombs from the Mad Alchemists. Then go upwards using the wooden scaffolds to head towards the upper areas of the Sacred Archives.

When you arrive at the top, go directly left and you will find a large structure with hooks the Sargon can grab on - at the top of it is a Homa Statue.

After activating the statue, go directly to the left of this structure and you will find the Wak-Wak Tree.

Wak-Wak Tree #3

From the first Fast Travel point in the area, go directly to your right and head upwards. The Jailer is in the area so try to avoid him by not entering his detection radius.

There will be a series of bell platform puzzles that Sargon must traverse to reach this tree. Reveal the platforms by hitting the bell with your arrows while simultaneously jumping to and from them.

Once that is finished, the next room will feature a series of green ghost heads. Either run past them or take them out easily with your bow. Then the next room should be where the Wak-Wak Tree is!

Upon entering the Temple of Knowledge, go west and traverse a series of rune traps. Continue west and you'll find a room similar to the shifting stair puzzles in the Sacred Archives - some of them open depending on the direction that Sargon looks at.

The Wak-Wak Tree is at the top of this area after you successfully traverse your way upwards.

This Wak-Wak Tree can only be accessed after obtaining the Clairvoyance Time Power. The tree is located at the top of the Temple of Knowledge's main area - use Clairvoyance to reveal the two walls and wall jump upwards.

Once you reach the top, head left and you'll find the Wak-Wak Tree.

Wak-Wak Tree can be found after going through the poison and spike roller challenge with the spirit. Chasing the Old Man during The Tiger and The Rat Quest will lead you here.

This Wak-Wak Tree can be found just around the top area of Simurgh's Claw. It is located at the tail end of The Tiger and The Rat Quest. It is in the room before you fight Alternate Sargon.

This Wak-Wak Tree can be reached by climbing up a platforming challenge. Sargon will need the Shadow of the Simurgh to access the platform challenge room as it is blockaded by a masked monster.

The platform challenge involves dodging spike rollers and poison sludges, and sniping poisonous bugs to get to the top. In this room, there is also a Soma Tree Petal underneath the entrance.

Wak-Wak Tree #5

The Wak-Wak Tree can be found at the bottom of the platform that leads toward the Catacombs area of The Depths and subsequently into the Sunken Harbour. This tree is also where you can meet Kalux in The Depths.

Kalux can be found in three Wak-Wak Trees - this is one of three where you can find them. This the third Wak-Wak Head that you can encounter. It is important for completing the Tree of Life Trophy where you must speak to all the Wak-Wak Tree heads.

This Wak-Wak Tree can be located just to the left of the room where you fight the Giant Crab. Next to this is a Fast Travel point, so unlock that as well. The entrance to this area in The Depths can be found near the Wak-Wak Tree in the Sunken Harbour where Kalux is found.

Upper City Wak-Wak Trees

Wak-Wak Tree #1 - Upper City (West)

This Wak-Wak Tree can be reached after finishing the chakram puzzle room. The chakram puzzle room in the Upper City involves using your chakram to move two swinging poles to find a path upwards.

After reaching the top and ascending using the chakram-operated elevator, go directly to your right and you will find the Wak-Wak Tree there.

The Wak-Wak Tree is found near the two weights after using the elevator during the pursuit for Anahita.

Wak-Wak Tree #3 - Upper City (East)

This tree as well as the East Area of the Upper City can only be accessed during The Celestial Guardians Quest. The location of this tree is just before you arrive at the palace doors where the Old Man is.

WAK-WAK HEAD: KAZRA
This the seventh Wak-Wak Head that you can encounter. It is important for completing the Tree of Life Trophy where you must speak to all the Wak-Wak Tree heads.

Wak-Wak Tree #4 - Upper City (East)

This Wak-Wak Tree can be found directly after the previous tree. After arriving at the palace doors, the Old Man will speak with you and tell you that you aren't that far from Simurgh Gate. Head straight right and the next room will have the Wak-Wak Tree inside.

Wak-Wak Tree #5 - Upper City (East)

You'll need the Gravity Wings Time Power to be able to access this tree as the Hanging Gardens area of the Upper City require Sargon to double jump some platforms.

Go to the elevator Sargon used to pursue Anahita and then head to the next room. In this room, traverse upwards until you arrive at the garden area of the Upper City. You'll need to double jump using Gravity Wings to reach the upper area.

You will face off against a variety of enemies along the way - including spearmen and harpies. Continue heading left until you see a puzzle which requires you to step on pressure plates to activate platforms.

Use Sargon's Shadow of The Simurgh to solve this puzzle.

At the top of this room, you'll find the Wak-Wak Tree and a fast travel point to the right of it.

Wak-Wak Tree #6 - Upper City (West)

This tree can be found in a room after the large chandelier platforming area. You will need to double jump using the Gravity Wings to successfully climb upwards.

The tree is next to a platform that can be removed by using Clairvoyance and to its right are a couple of spinning spiked rollers.

This Wak-Wak Tree is located at the base of the Royal Corridors when you first arrive.

This is the Wak-Wak Tree before the final confrontation with the final boss. There is a Homa Statue on the right that you can release from the time paradox.

Sunken Harbor Wak-Wak Trees

Wak-Wak Tree #1

The Wak-Wak Tree can be found near the entrance of the Sunken Harbour, connecting from the Hyrcanian Forest.

Continue going down from the entrance of the Hyrcanian Forest until you reach a pulley system that takes you further into the depths. Then go directly right and you should be able arrive at the tree on the way.

Wak-Wak Tree #2

This Wak-Wak Tree is located in the middle of the Sunken Harbour inside a spacious room. This room acts as a safe hub where there are no hazards or enemies present. There is also a Fast Travel point to the upper right - climb up and activate that as well.

Wak-Wak Tree #3

This Wak-Wak Tree is located on the far-west of the Sunken Harbour, surrounded by corpses. There are many falling spike traps in the area so be sure to avoid the pressure plates to prevent them from activating.

Kalux is found in this tree - unlike the previous Wak-Wak heads, they will accompany you on a quest in the Catacombs.

This Wak-Wak Tree is located at the south-west area of the Sunken Harbour next to the entrance of the Pit of Eternal Sands. It also connects to the Sunken Harbour Catacombs where Kalux can help guide you.

Pit of Eternal Sands Wak-Wak Trees

The Pit of Eternal Sands can only be accessed after finishing the The Path to the Sand Prison Quest and obtaining the Dimensional Claw and Clairvoyance Time Powers. After breaking the seals, Sargon will arrive at the Pit of Eternal Sands and the The Darkest of Souls Quest will begin.

Head towards east and you will find the first Wak-Wak Tree here.

This Wak-Wak Tree is situated near the tree at the entrance of the Pit of Eternal Sands. Starting from the starting tree, wall eject from the side and ride the falling sands then head west.

The tree should be below a platform that you walk on - descend an interact with it.

Wak-Wak Tree #3

You will know you are near this tree when you encounter the Old Man again in the Pit of Eternal Sands. Go directly east and descend down this large area. At the bottom you can find the Wak-Wak Tree and a fast travel point right next to it.

WAK-WAK HEAD: KAYA
This the fifth Wak-Wak Head that you can encounter. It is important for completing the Tree of Life Trophy where you must speak to all the Wak-Wak Tree heads.

This Wak-Wak Tree can be accessed shortly after defeating Azhdaha.

Go directly east to summon a Celestial Guardian and then return to Azhdaha's lair. Reaching this next tree will require the Gravity Wings Time Power, which you will obtain after summoning the guardian and speaking to Azhdaha again.

After that, continue your path to the east until you meet the Old Man. After speaking with him, resume heading east using the Gravity Wings to traverse the platforming challenge and you should arrive at the tree.

You can reach this fast travel point by starting from the rising sand waterfall - head west and you'll need to go upwards and ride the rising sands.

Destroy the wooden scaffolding blocking the top area and the Wak-Wak Tree should be in the next room to the left. You'll pass by a Homa Statue on the way, so unlock that as well.

And underneath the tree, there is an area where you can buy a map piece from Fariba.

This Wak-Wak Tree is located in the far-east side of the Pit of Eternal Sands, past the spiked rocks and rising sands area. To the upper left of it is a fight against three statue heads that rewards you with a chest that contains an Amulet Holder.

Wak-Wak Tree #1

This Wak-Wak Tree is the starting tree for the Raging Sea. After speaking with the Fisherman, head into the burning ship that is trapped in time stasis. You'll find the tree inside once you arrive at the center of the ship's interior.

This Wak-Wak Tree is inside a part of the burning ship after you pass the time-frozen sea and fight the floating jellyfish. Next to it is a fast travel point, so activate that as well.

WAK-WAK HEAD: KANAME
This the sixth Wak-Wak Head that you can encounter. It is important for completing the Tree of Life Trophy where you must speak to all the Wak-Wak Tree heads.

The Wak-Wak Tree is located inside a part of the burning ship with the floating jellyfish platforms on the left of it. Go inside and navigate the S-like corridors of the ship and you'll find the tree there.

This Wak-Wak Tree is located inside the tail-end of the burning ship - after where the broken mast platforming area is. You'll pass by a Homa Statue so unlock this fast travel point as well.

Tower of Silence Wak-Wak Trees

This tree can be accessed during the Father and Son Quest in the Tower of Silence. To open the gate in the tower, use the Fabric of Time Time Power to pull at the chains locking the door.

There should be an area where you can traverse upwards using grapple points. Head up there and to the left side is the Wak-Wak Tree.

This Wak-Wak Tree is directly above Kaheva's Forge in the Tower of Silence. Climb upwards to across the broken platforms to reach it.

WAK-WAK HEAD: KAMYA
This the eigth and final Wak-Wak Head that you can encounter. It is important for completing the Tree of Life Trophy where you must speak to all the Wak-Wak Tree heads.

This Wak-Wak Tree can be found in the middle area of the Tower of Silence. Use Sargon's Fabric of Time Time Power to latch onto the grapple points and the tree should be at the end of them.

What Do Wak-Wak Trees Do?

Wak-Wak Trees can be used to heal Sargon and replenish his resources, change his loadout, save the game, and serves as a respawn point. However, it respawns surrounding enemies by interacting with it.

Interacting with the Wak-Wak Trees will heal Sargon to full health, replenish his potions as well as his arrows.

Wak-Wak Trees are also the hub where Sargon can switch his amulets and Athra Surges. The trees are the only place you can do this, so come back often to switch out your loadout!

Upon interacting with a tree, the game will automatically save as denoted by the golden icon on the far bottom-right of the screen.

When Sargon interacts with a Wak-Wak Tree, the game will respawn all defeated enemies in the surrounding area. While this may seem like a bad thing, this mechanic can actually be a good source for farming Time Crystals.

Wak-Wak Trees also serve as the respawn point for Sargon. Whenever Sargon dies, he will respawn at the last Wak-Wak Tree he has interacted with, so keep note of this.

When fighting a difficult boss or exploring a new area, it is highly recommended to find the nearest available Wak-Wak Tree so that if Sargon ever dies, you won't need to walk too far to continue your progress.

How to Find Wak-Wak Trees

Wak-Wak Trees are found by following a golden breeze when they appear and looking out for golden leaves in the area.

Follow the Golden Breeze
When playing in Guided Mode, Wak-Wak Trees are usually near when a golden breeze appears on the screen. Following this breeze will lead you to a location of a Wak-Wak Tree.

Keep an Eye Out For Golden Leaves
Apart from following the golden breeze trail that directs Sargon to the tree, you will also notice that there are golden leaves scattered about in the area.

Whenever these leaves appear, it means that there is a Wak-Wak Tree nearby, so try to look around the area first and find it to secure a respawn point before continuing to explore further.
