How to Beat General Uvishka

The following tips can help you beat General Uvishka in battle.

1. Cover Some Distance
2. Parry His Attacks
3. Parry His Reckless Attacks
4. Continue Covering Some Distance
5. Continue to Parry

Phase 1

Cover Some Distance When General Uvishka Jumps High

General Uvishka will be fighting you from horseback during Phase 1. During the battle, he will jump in midair and deliver an AoE attack once he lands back on his horse. This attack can be indicated when his eyes glow red.

When he initiates this attack, gain some distance away from him to avoid getting damaged. Once he comes back down, go for a counterattack and deliver him some blows.

Parry His Melee Attacks

General Uvishka unleashes some melee attacks here and there throughout the battle. Parry his melee attacks by pressing your Parry Button and keep your momentum during the fight.

How to Parry

Parry His Reckless Attack

At some point, General Uvishka will execute a Reckless Attack. His Reckless Attack can be indicated when his eyes glow yellow, and can be parried to execute a Vengeful Counter by pressing yout Parry Button.

When successful, General Uvishka will be off his high horse. It will force him to face you mano a mano.

Phase 2

Cover Some Distance During His AoE Attack

Like earlier in Phase 1, General Uvishka will unleash a nasty AoE attack when he jumps up in the air and lands decisively on the ground. Cover some distance to avoid taking damage.

Similar to his earlier AoE attack, General Uvishka's eyes will glow red when initiating the attack.

Continue to Parry His Melee Attacks

General Uvishka will continue to deliver some melee attacks towards you. Continue to parry his attacks like earlier, and counterattack moderately.

The following attacks are the ones that will be employed by General Uvishka.

1. Spear Swing (Horseback)
2. Aoe Attack (Horseback)
3. Downward Spear Swing
4. Spear Lunge
5. Spear Swing (On Foot)
6. AoE Attack (On Foot)

Phase 1

Spear Swing (During Horseback)

General Uvishka will swing his spear either downwards or sideways toward you.

AoE Attack (During Horseback)

General Uvishka unleashes an AoE attack whenever he jumps high in the air.

Downward Spear Swing (Reckless Attack)

When he only has half his health, General Uvishka will deliver a Reckless Attack that gives you a window of opportunity to unleash a Vengeful Counter.

Phase 2

Spear Lunge

When you're battling him without his horse, General Uvishka will damage you by hurling a couple of lunge attacks.

Spear Swing (On Foot)

General Uvishka will spin his spear above him, then attack you as he swings his spear to your direction

AoE Attack (On Foot)

General Uvishka will unleash a more powerful version of his AoE attack during Phase 2 of the fight, but this attack is much more potent and deadly.
