Exploration Mode and Guided Mode are the two game modes in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Read on to learn more about exploration mode and guided mode, their differences, which one you should choose, as well as how to switch between exploration mode and guided mode.

With fewer precise markers and directions, Exploration Mode is designed for those who enjoy the excitement of exploring and discovering things on their own within the game, relying on their instincts and observation skills.
Guided Mode is ideal for players who value a guided experience, granting them with additional helpful features to make exploring easier.
This mode minimizes the chance of getting stuck and will be a good setting for newcomers and first time gamers who easily gets overwhelmed by the complexity of exploration.
What Guided Mode offers that Exploration Mode does not are additional helpful markers on the map, aiding in navigation and helping you in knowing your next destination.
This marker is most useful whenever you are stuck in the game and do not know what to do next.
The indicator is symbolized by a glowing Simurgh, which shows on the map where you will need to go for your next objective.
This marker keeps you from attempting to enter pathways that may seem to be accesible initially but are, in fact, not yet.
The indicators are is represented by a Green Door for available pathways and a Red Door for blocked pathways.
During gameplay, there is an option for you to switch between Exploration Mode and Guided Mode or vice versa from the System Menu.
You can go to the Menu Screen by clicking the Pause button.
The System Menu is located in the rightmost section of the Menu Screen, once there, you may click Options
After clicking Options, you will be redirected to the system configuration screen. From here, you may check or uncheck the setting for Guided Mode.
