Moon Piece Location 1 - Sacred Archives

The first Moon Piece actually indicates where you need to start the quest. Make your way to the western side of the Sacred Archives and speak with the Moon Gatherer.

He'll ask you to help him retrieve the pieces of the Moon which were stolen by thieves and will give you Dragon King Amulet for agreeing.

Moon Gatherer's Location is Marked by a Moon

The Moon Gatherer's location is always indicated by a floating blue moon. You'll need to look for locations throughout Mount Qaf for these blue moons and help the Moon Gatherer retrieve the piece in that area.

Moon Piece Location 2 - The Depths

The first moon piece is located in The Depths that you can access by using the Shadow of the Simurgh to access the lower platform of the elevator.

1. Navigate the Spike Traps
2. Drain the Water
3. Destroy the Wooden Barricade
4. Talk to the Moon Gatherer

Navigate the Spike Trap

Head down from the elevator and navigate the spike traps to access the area on the right side of the map.

Drain the Water

You'll need to drain the water in the area to help the Moon Gatherer. Start by jumping towards the left side of the room and activate the first drain switch.

Once the water is drained, use Rush of Simurgh to head to the right side of the room and activate the second drain switch.

With the water fully drained, you can now drop down to the lower right side of the room safely.

Destroy the Wooden Barricade

The Moon Gatherer is trapped behind a chamber with a wooden barricade. Attack the wooden barricade to destroy it to free the Moon Gatherer.

Talk to the Moon Gatherer

The Moon Gatherer will thank you for helping him and will tell you to find him in the next area. He'll also give you some time crystals for assisting him here.

Moon Piece Location 3 - Sunken Harbor

The Moon Gatherer's next location is in the Sunken Harbor. To access this area, you'll need to use the Dimensional Claw time power which requires defeating Kiana, The Forest Queen during The Path to the Sand Prison story quest..

Once you have the power, use Dimensional Claw to grab the nearby explosive barrel and throw it at the rock wall to access the next area. You may also use the floating explosive mine to destroy the wall.

3. Defeat the Giant Crab
4. Talk to the Moon Gatherer

Make Your Way to the Wak-Wak Tree

Head to the right side of the area and drop down the platforms to activate the Wak-Wak Tree.

Drop Down the Lower Area

From the Wak-Wak Tree, head down the lower area and make your way to the lower left side to find the second Moon Piece.

The Moon Gatherer will call out to you and ask you to take care of something to help him. Drop down the left side of the area and kill the large crab that spawns.

Defeat the Giant Crab

As soon as you kill large clab, an even bigger Giant Crab will appear to fight you! You'll need to defeat it to help free the Moon Gatherer.

Although tough, the Giant Crab has a habit of using its claw smash attack to generate shock waves around the area. Parrying these shockwaves will generate your Athra faster, which you can use to unleash Athra Surges that will deal a lot of damage to the Giant Crab.

Talk to the Moon Gatherer

After defeating the Giant Crab, head to the center of the area and interact with the broken ship mast to talk to the Moon Gatherer.

He'll once again thank you for assisting him and will ask you to help him in the next area. You'll also receive Time Crystals from him as a reward for your troubles.

Moon Piece Location 4 - Pit of Eternal Sands

The next Moon Piece is located in the Pit of Eternal Sands and is accessible as soon as you start The Darkest of Souls story quest.

In the area where you find the second Wak-Wak Tree, return to the upper area and hug the wall on the right. The Moon Gatherer will call out to Sargon and ask him to help free him.

Attack the wall to reveal a hidden chamber where you'll find the Moon Gatherer as well as a Sand Jar for the Prophecy of Mount Qaf side quest.

Head to the left side of the area and attack the jar to free the Moon Gatherer.

Talk to the Moon Gatherer

The Moon Gatherer will reward you with Time Crystals for freeing him from the jar and will ask you to help him once again in the next area.

Moon Piece Location 5 - Tower of Silence

The Moon Gatherer's last location is in the Tower of Silence which is only accessible after getting the Fabric of Time power. The piece of the moon is located in the large central area with falling ice boulders and is also where you'll find a Sand Jar for the Prophecy of Mount Qaf side quest.

1. Head to the Central Lower Area
2. Free the Moon Gatherer from the Casket
3. Receive Your Reward

Head to the Central Lower Area

Drop down the lower central area past the first gorge where the Ice Boulders are falling into.

Free the Moon Gatherer from the Casket

The Moon Gatherer was captured by the enemy carrying a large casket on its back and will call out for help when you approach it.

Kill this enemy to free the Moon Gatherer and a short cutscene will play.

Receive Your Reward

The Moon Gatherer will thank Sargon for assisting him and will mention looking for a spot where he can view the True Moon in its splendor.

He'll also give you an Additional Healing Potion for assisting him throughout his quest.
