Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown offers 9 Main Quests for players to explore and progress in the game. If you are solely focused on finishing the main quests, the game will take about 10 hours to finish the main storyline depending on how skilled you are at the game.

If you bought the Complete Edition or one of the Upgrade Packs, you can play a new optional area with The Mask of Madness DLC.
It unlocks an entirely new area with unique enemies, platforming sections, and amulets. It's a somewhat short but challenging level because you do not have your potions and other upgrades.

Your loadout will only consist of your swords, bow, and chakram. The only Time Powers you have are the Rush of the Simurgh and the Shadow of the Simurgh.
Your health bar will reset to three bars and you lose your potions. You also cannot equip any amulets you found in the main story, but there are three amulets you can find in the new area.
The only upgrades you retain are any Athra Surges and additional Athra bars you gained in the main story.
This loadout effect will only apply when you are in the DLC setting. After you unlock a Wak-Wak tree in the side story, you will also open a portal to Mount Qaf. So, you can freely progress between the side story and main story.
However, you will still have the same amount of Time Crystals no matter where you are. If you are planning to complete the DLC, its best to spend all of them on upgrades for your main story Sargon to save a few crystals.
The Mage, The Shopkeeper Guide

To unlock this story, you need to complete The Tiger and The Rat main story quest. Then, accept the A Snake in the Grass side quest from Neith next to the Wak-Wak tree in The Haven.
