How to Beat Vahram

How to Beat Vahram

The following tips can help you beat Vahram in battle. The conclusion of the boss battle will only play out one way regardless of whether you win or lose the fight.

5. Dodge Midair Combo Attack

Phase 1

Parry Red Slash Attack

Vahram will unleash slash attacks that will generate long-range red slashes. Parry these red slashes to avoid getting damaged, or just simply avoid them by jumping.

How to Parry

Avoid Sword Combo (Unstoppable Attack)

Vahram will initiate a 3x combo attack where he slashes you twice on ground level, then finishing up with an aerial attack in midair. During the last attack, Vahram's eyes will glow red.

Avoid being caught during the first strike to prevent Vahram from dwindling down your health.

Do Not Attack Vahram During His Parry

Vahram has his own version of the Vengeful Counter where he parries your strike and counterattacks with his sword hilt. He will oftentimes use this when you're in a middle of a combo.

Phase 2

Parry Lunge Attack

When you've dealt enough damage to deplete a fifth of his health, you will enter Phase 2 of the boss battle. Vahram will take a stance and perform a decisive lunge towards you.

When he takes the stance for a lunge attack, be sure to time his attack with a parry to neutralize the damage.

Dodge Midair Combo Attack

Vahram will jump into the air and unleash a red slash aimed downwards. He will follow this up by performing an AoE attack at ground level.

Dodge the combo attack by ascertaining his position in midair. After avoiding the midair attack, dodge the incoming AoE slash to prevent further damage.

How to Dodge

Avoid Sphere of Slashes (Unstoppable Attack)

Vahram will perform a range attack where he sheathes his sword back into the scabbard and summons a sphere to your location. This sphere generates slashes that will reduced your health significantly.

When Vahram begins to sheath his sword, do not linger to a single area and move away towards the opposite direction as soon as you see the sphere forming up.

Avoid Slow Motion Sphere (Unstoppable Attack)

Vahram will conjure a huge sphere with him being the center of it. When you are caught inside the sphere, you will begin to move slowly.

Try to dash away from the sphere's influence to avoid its effects and prevent Vahram from taking advantage of your slow mobility.

Avoid Screen Slash (Unstoppable Attack)

Vahram will perform an all-powerful attack where he generates so many slashes on the screen. These slashes are random, and will damage you when you're in the line of sight of even one of them.

You will need to be lucky and pray that your current location does not have a slash targeting you to avoid damage.

Phase 1

Red Slash

Vahram will unleashed red slashes towards you. These slashes are long ranged, and can be parried with the correct timing.

Sword Combo

Vahram will perform a 3x combo attack where he finishes off with a decisive strike in midair. This attack becomes an Unstoppable Attack during the final strike.

Vahram's Parry

Vahram will oftentimes parry your attacks and retaliate with an attack that employs his sword hilt. This is his own version of your Vengeful Counter.

Phase 2

Lunge Attack

Vahram performs a powerful lunge attack towards you. He will first take a stance where he begins to draw his blade, which he will follow up with a white and black flash attack.

Midair Combo Attack

The boss will often execute a midair attack by generating a red slash downwards, then he continues by performing an AoE attack at ground level.

Sphere of Slashes

Vahram will generate a sphere on your current location. This sphere will produce multiple slashes in its area of containment.

Slow Motion Sphere

The boss generates a huge sphere with him being the center of it. This will slow down the player's movements when caught in its influence.

Screen Slash

A powerful attack that slashes the screen to several different areas. The player will receive damage if a slash is targeting the player's location.
